Madhu Rangraj, M.D. Bariatrics Bariatric Center

Dr. Rangraj performed a jejeunal duodenal bypass on my husband on June 3, 2008. This operation has almost completely cured my husband's diabetes. This is the main reason I wanted to do RNY with Dr. Rangraj. He and his partner, Dr. Maffucci were kind, professional and the office staff is phenomenal. I am so lucky to have found these doctors! If my surgery goes as well as my husband's, I will be very blessed indeed.

Dr. Rangray will be doing my surgery, we met he was very polite, answered all my questions, made me feel very comfortable, 3 of my friends had surgery at sound shore hospital with Dr Leonard Maffucci And Dr. Madhu Rangray they are two of the best in the field. I 'm very confident that i picked the right surgeons for me.
They support staff Peggy and Judy is very caring and knowledgeable on the surgery

The first doctor I went to regarding this surgery was: Dr. Domick Artuso in March 2002. Dr. Artuso seems to be an excellent sugeon and I have heard nothing but great things about him. However, During my pre-op testing he went into private practice and no longer accepted my insurance. I could not come up with the $3,000 that he was requesting to do the operation so I asked him to refer me to someone else. Dr. Artuso referred me to Dr. Kaul at the Westchester Medical Center. Even tho I have completed all pre-op testing, this doctor office requires you to attend a free seminar. Well I was planning to attend the seminar however I have no patience and decided to find another doctor that would do the surgery without the seminar because I wanted to have the surgery "NOW". After seeing another doctor (Dr. Ambrose who works in Bhuta Surgical Associates office) Everything was going fine until my surgery date was finally scheduled again on September 3, 2002. I was told seven days before the operation that the doctor has decided not to accept my insurance due to the fee being too low. So, now I will be seeing Dr. Rangraj I called his office (got his name out of my insurance book) and explained to the Office Person my problem and She called my back and told me that the doctor will schedule my surgery. And he did! My new doctor seems great! I spoke to the nurse for my new doctor and she is wonderful! I guess the reschedules have been for a reason because this new doctors office seems like they really care and are creating a weight loss center for people who need help. The office seems like they really understand you. They have a group that meets every Wednesday. I will be meeting with them next Monday (Sept. 9) to meet the surgeons, nurse, etc. My date is set for only 19 days away which seems like forever but is really very close. I met with the Program Director Peggy Coll at Sound Shore Medical Center and she seems really great. I also met with two surgeons and found out that both surgeons due the sugery not just one surgeon and one resident and that is a plus. Everyone at this hospital seems very nice and helpful. I am very happy with the program at Sound Shore Medical Center.
