I had the Gastric Sleeve surgery Oct 22, 2012. I am currently down 33.3 lbs and looking forward to losing at least 40 more. The surgery was relatively easy and the recovery was routine-luckily. I am still learning the best way to proceed in order to be sucessful in this process and Dr Nahmias has been an excellent support system. He is upfront about what I need to do and I appreciate the honesty. I am very glad I chose him as my surgeon and would recommend him to anyone looking into this type of procedure.This has been a great experience and I am so happy I did this.

At age 50 I decided to have lap-band. Weighting 273 height '5'8in not feeling good about myself, the surgery was the best thing I ever did. Doctor Nahmias informed me it will work if I listen to my body that is where I get my best information. I lost 103lbs surpassing my goal. I feel good again,I look good again. My self-esteem is great. Anyone looking to feel better for themselves I recommend this surgery! please note: that it is only a helper, it's really up to you to stick to the program.

I am 3 weeks post op and I can not say enough about how wonderful Dr Nahmias is! He has been completely honest from day one from the procedure, the risks, the lifestyle change afterwards. He is very thorough. He has a wonderful bedside manner. He stops to listen to you. He has you on a very structured aftercare plan. He is not only my Doctor, He is a friend too. Vivian is very friendly and is always ready to help you in any way she can. I would advise anyone to see Dr Nahmias if they are looking to have weight loss surgery.

Wow what can possibly be said about Dr Nahmias,that hasn't already been said? This man is a Godsend. He's the most sincere and genuine Dr. I have ever met. He's thorough and caring and tells you how it is ~ he doesn't sugar coat anything! He has the best patient/dr/friend rapport ever. He makes you feel like you're his only concern at the time. And he truly does care about your well being and how everything went and he cares about the outcome of everything. His staff is awesome as well. Vivian is the best!!! She really brightens your day when you talk to her or see her. I think thats why I call so much HAHAHA Amanda was great in the hospital. Very informative and helpful. All details and aftercare and everything is thoroughly explained by the Dr or the staff or all of them. They make sure you know what's gonna happen at all times. So bottom line is...I would, I have several times, and I will continue to recommend Dr Nissin Nahmias to any and ALL people I come in contact with. I have never wanted to praise a person so much as I do Dr Nahmias. He goes above and beyond to make you feel good~ about everything! Thank you so much Dr. Nahmias. You sir, are my Angel.

Excellent!! Dr. Nahmias is a great physician and great listener to his patients needs. I felt and know I was in great hands. My surgery was on July 9, 2012 with a statrting weight of 247 pds. My surgery went smoothly with no complication only a little after sugery pain. But you to except some form of discomfront otherwise you fooling yourself. Right know just having a hard time adjusting to the my new changes in life. Dr. Nahmias assured me that things will get better you just need to learn how to deal with your new life style. As of today I weigh 226 pds after only month after my surgery.

Excellent Dr. My name is Carmen Santana i had my surgery on july 16 20012 My Starting weight 215, pre-op weight 183 .. Today is july 25 , my current weight is 165 only at 7 days after my surgery.Wow im so happy to make the decision. Thank u to the best Dr. Nissin, nhamias. i was ready for the lap band.30 years ago i was not ready for the stomach stapling.i am very lucky to have met with Dr.Nahmias.first impression was, he knows what hes talking about.my impression over time,he cares deeply for all his patients,he has a keen eye for knowing when something is wrong with me and asks me whats wrong.i speak and he gives me reassurance.Dr.Namias' staff is more than excellant,i feel they are my family,so much understanding and care.future patients should know how caring and non judgemental he is,the dr. is there to listen and help you in anyway.he hands you your instructions,you ask questions,if you don't understand, ask.he will explain.yes he does have a structured aftercare program.he addressed the risks and dangers of the surgery thoroughly and answered my questions.on a scale of 1-10,1 being poorly,10 being excellent,Dr.Namias receives a 10 plus.both are great(bedside manner,surgical competence).i would like to give a suggestion,after surgery,for those who can get up and move,the patient techs(i know there is not enough of them)but it would be excellent if they could ......push us(the patient)to get up and walk as far as possible every 15 to 20 minutes,give encouraging words,smile,let us know you care,we're like the rest of the human race,only overweight and need encouragement,we didn't get morbidly obese over night and it will take us time to lose it.so as for my review it was a life changing decission,and dr nahmias is an amazing surgeon his caring and gentle touch is greatly appreciated and i will reccomend him to some of my friends.thank you, sincerely kathy benway

He is very likable, very compassionate, and well rounded. He explains everything to you before, during, and after surgery. The surgery went well with no complications, had it done May 17th, and have lost 18lbs already. The liquid diet takes some getting use to, after day 3, you will get use to it. Try the different recipes for them. Over all I would recommend the surgery and Dr. Nahmias to all that are looking to loose weight.

My name is Vanessa Torres Two years ago I was morbietly obesty...I was severly depressed.with my weigth I tried every diet possible..to mankind...For example low f.at diets..protein diet cleasing diet and etc...My sister recommeded me to look at Bariatric surgery..We did extensive reserch and found Dr.Nissian Namhias...on March 30..2010 on my 24 birthday I under went gastric bypass surgery.it was the best descion of my life. it has been two years since my surgery and with the help of Dr'Namias and his staff I been successful on keeping my weight of..If I was yold to describe Dr.Namias n three words I would say caring" "he really cares for his patients", responsible " he makes sure to follow up with his patients, no matter how,many years or moths you,ve been out of surgery..and he has a great sense of humor

Dr Nahmias was extremely professional, very caring, and much interest in assisting his patients. He performed the Gastric bypass and I have lost 100 pounds in 5 month without any complications. I strongly recommend him. I feel very satisfy and srongly recommend him.
