Medabolix Bariatric Center

i have a surgeon,im going to low moor hospital,to a Janet Holwick.I was very impressed with her.The staff are great i feel i'm a pest,I call them every other day to see if the insurance has let them know, the wait is really getting to me,does any one understand?HELLO EVERYONE I HAVE CHANGED SURGEONS IN THE LAST SIX WEEKS,I HAVE INSURANCE APPROVAL AND MY SURGERY DATE IS JAN.3.IM SO EXCITED.EVERYONE AT DR.STICKLERS OFFICE ARE GREAT.I WOULD RECOMMEND THESE PEOPLE TO ANYONE WANTING A BYPASS.

I FIRST MET DR.STICKLER ON DEC.10,I HAD ALOT OF CONTACT WITH HIM AND HIS OFFICE STAFF,THEY ARE SUCH GREAT PEOPLE.HE IS VERY DOWN TO EARTH AND ME FILL VERY AT HOME.I ALLREDY HAVE INSURANCE APPROVAL AND HE HAS SPED EVERYTHING RIGHT ALONG.I HAVE A SURGERY DATE ON JAN.3.IM SO EXCITED,I FEEL LIKE A CHILD AT CHRISTMAS.I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS GREAT GROUP OF PEOPLE TO ANYONE.

Dr. Stickler and his staff are wonderful! Dr. Stickler and his staff members are very caring and helpful. Dr. Stickler emphasizes aftercare and has a very structured program. All phases of the surgery are explained so that normal people understand what can happen. Each patient is treated as an individual person and not as if you were on a surgery assembly line.

dr stickler is very personable and i
feel very confortable talking to him
he genuinely cares i think. the staff
is very nice. after care you join his
workout center and have hands on help with your diet and workouts. you have to pay
cash 170.00 for the phsychologist visit. they
do not bill insurance. and b4 surgery you
have to pay 275.00 for the dietician and
workout center. they dont tell you about
that until after you are scheduled for
surgery. the phsych visit it billed to insurance and the give 130.00 back to you
but the workout center money is not. it
is well worth it to me though because i
was going to join a gym anyway.

Dr. Stickler seems very business like, but knowledgeable. He admits to losing two patients; both with extended problems.
Originally his staff was great. I think submitting my info to my insurance company was delayed by oversight, but it is a new office with lots of new things to learn. There is a structured before and aftercare emphasize given to each patient.
My greatest review of Dr. Stickler will come AFTER my surgery. I am now post op and can say that Dr. Stickler seemed very proficient as a surgeon. I also noticed that he spent many long hours at the hospital.
Dr. Stickler seems to be one of the best surgeons in the country in bariatric surgery. I truly believe he is dedicated to the whole program.

Dr. Stickler is a very courteous gentleman. He made me feel at ease instantly. There was no change in my impression of Dr. Stickler...I had only heard good comments on his personality and manner when it comes to speaking as the surgeon. The office staff are really nice people and definitely make you feel welcome and at home when visiting the office. They are all very informative. On the first consult visit I spoke with the Physician's Assistant who also assists in surgery, the Nutritionist, and Dr. Stickler himself. Aftercare was emphisized as the most important part of my life after the surgery. This facility does have a structured aftercare program. Dr. Stickler addressed the risks of surgery in his seminar and also answered any questions I had during the consultation. I feel like I can depend on this surgeon for answering any and all questions after the surgery and also of his staff. I can't rate on surgical competence since I am a pre-op, but his bedside manner in the office is wonderful. Appears to be a very nice and caring human being.

My first impression of Dr. Stickler was, wow he is so young-how much experience could he actually have. After I heard him speak about the surgery my impression was very different. I thought here is a man who cares about us and he doesn't even know us. He is very concerned about the health and well-being of his patients. He really wants to help me and others. HE MUST BE AN ANGEL!! He is very thorough and supportive. He keeps us with all of his patient's aftercare through regular appointments. His staff is just as wonderful as he is. I GIVE DR. STICKLER AND HIS STAFF A GREAT BIG "10". Thanks Dr. Stickler for saving my life and thanks to the Lifequest staff for all of the support.

Dr. Stickler is a very kind person. He is very straight forward with you, explaining the surgery in great detail. He also explains what complications you could face, and also the benefits you will reap from it.
His office staff is great. They go an extra mile to help you get approval from your insurance company. Everyone is just great.
There was nothing about Dr. Stickler that I disliked, and I would recommend him to anyone considering by-pass surgery.
His aftercare program is very strict and structured.
I'm going into my 5th week post-op and I feel so much better. I was a diabetic, with sugars running from 180 to 300. Now they are 80 - 87. I'm still a little weak from the surgery, but I feel so much better physically. I also know as time goes by I'm going to feel a whole lot better.

My first impression of Dr. Stickler was very good. He is young, smart and seems very caring. His staff is wonderful. They have a thorough examination process. You are required 1st to attend a seminar which is wonderful and no charge. Then you go for your consult. You see the doc, the P.A. and the dietician. Then you are scheduled for your psych evaluation. His follow up is EXTENSIVE. He offers an on staff excercise physiologist, gym priveleges and a wonderful support group that meets twice a month. I will keep you posted. Very impressed so far.
He does his surgeries at St Francis Hospital.
I feel competence outweighs bedside manner altogether.
