I visited Dr Silva Jan 2019 for a consultation for WLS. The office at his Bronx location was beautiful and welcoming. His entire staff is excellent from the front desk to the nurses and Nutritionist. I checked in and was taken to be weighed within minutes of arriving (not sure if being the first patient of the day helped). The nurse took my weight and blood pressure, I was then escorted into Dr. Silva's office. First impression is the most important, Dr Silva was polite and very informative. He sat with me and took his time explaining the three different surgery options. We talked about complications, we talked about concerns and he went through the entire process and answered any questions I had. I needed 6 months of assisted weight loss (mandatory for my insurance to cover the surgery) which consists of meeting with one person on his staff once a month (dietician/nurse practicioner) when I tell you it flew by I am entering my 4th month and next month I meet with Dr Silva again to discuss pre-op and possibly schedule a surgery date. I highly recommend Dr Silva even if it's a consult to educate yourself on your WL (weight loss) options.
