10/24/03 I went to Dr. Vohra's seminar and found him to be very approachable and professional. His staff were extremely warm and freindly and they seemed to really enjoy their role in Dr. Vohra's team. I'm a nurse and I've taken care of at least 10 WLS patients over the last few years so I have a pretty good sense of what I want from my bariatric surgeon. So far Dr. Vohra is my #1 choice, his surgical competence and bedside manner are both excellent. His aftercare program meets monthly at the hospital and is supposed to be excellent.
You cannot make an appointment with him until after you attend his monthly seminar. During the one that I went to his computer was very uncooperative and quite a lot of time was lost on him trying to get the correct page to display for us. Because of this, many people got impatient and he sort of rushed through some of the info to make up for lost time. I know I personally didn't lose out on anything but there may have been some guests who felt they didn't get all the information they were looking for.
Aside from that, I feel his skill and experience are enough proof that he's the best chioce for me and I'm looking forward to my initial consultation with him.
Dr. Vohra seems to me to have a distant kind of atmospere, I have not had much contact with him (but I can't complain about the skill of his surgery). I hope to have more contact with him later down the weight loss road. His staff is really great and I would like to single out Jill who is teriffic at her job.

I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH DR. VOHRA - VERY PROFESSIONAL. I FEEL VERY CONFIDENT IN HAVING HIM PERFORM THIS LIFE CHANGING PROCEDURE ON ME.
PEGGY IS A VERY BUSY LADY AND STILL MAKES YOU FEEL AS IF YOUR THE ONLY PATIENT OF DR. VOHRA...WAY TO GO PEGGY!! EVERYONE IN HIS OFFICE IS TRULY DEDICATED AND TAKES A PERSONAL INTEREST IN THEIR PATIENTS.
So far Dr Vohra and his staff have been wonderful they have made me feel like a human for the first time in my life I have hope and I feel like I have a future.
Life saver, he is the best, straight to the point, one hundred percent-(GOOD).
MY FIRST IMPRESSION WAS THAT DR VOHRA WAS DISTANT, AS I GREW TO KNOW DR VOHRA I FOUND HIM TO BE A DR WHO CARES GREATLY ABOUT HIS PATIENTSAND THEIR WELL BEING.AS FOR DR VOHRAS STAFF WHAT CAN I SAY, I HAVE NOT MET A NICER GROUP OF INDIVIDUALS. I WOULD LIKE TO GIE A SPECIAL THANK YOU DR VOHRAS ASSISTANT GABE.HE IS THE KINDEST PERSON HE GENUINELY GOES THE EXTRA MILE TO HELP YOU THROUGH YOUR STAY IN THE HOSPITAL, AND FOR FOLLOW UP VISITS AT THE OFFICE.AS FAR AS THE REST OF THE STAFF THEY ARE THE GREATEST.I WOULD LIKE TO SEND A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO MARY,CATHY,DANIELLE,JILL AND MY SPECIAL GIRL PEGGY.I CAN NEVER THANK YOU ENOUGH FOR YOUR CARING.I WOULD AND HAVE RECOMMENDED DR VOHRA AND STAFF TO OTHER INDIVIDUALS . BEFORE YOU CAN GET AN APPOINTMENT AT THE OFFICE YOU MUST ATTEND A SEMINAR WHICH DR VOHRA EXPLAINS IN GREAT DETAIL THE SURGERY,ITS BENIFITS AND RISK. THE AFTER CARE THAT IS GIVEN IS EXCELLENT.IF YOU ARE HAVUING ANY TYPE OF PROBLEM THE GROUP IS THERE TO ASSIST YOU AND MAKE SURE THE MATTER IS TAKEN CARE OF PRORERLY. I was very pleased with the care I received before and after my surgery. I found Dr. Vohra to be very personable and through. He made sure I was aware of all the risks and benefits of the surgery. He kept emphazing that although it was laparascopic that it was still major surgery and not to be entered into lightly. I was amazed at the fact that he checked on me personnaly twice a day while I was in the hospital.
And I can not say enough about his office staff. Kathy, Danielle, Jill and especially Peggy always knew just what I needed and were so understanding and supportive every step of the way. Mary was able to keep all my preop and postop needs under control.
Aftercare is very important and extremely structured. Everyone on staff is there to help you feel good and succeed!!
Dr. Vohra and his staff are wonderful! They take time to answer questions and make sure you know exactly what to expect each step of the way. The support meetings that his staff hold once a month are informative and helpful.
