I just wanted to update my review of Dr, Daly, (my original review is at the bottom of this page) !! It has been 9 years since I first met Dr. Daly (at a support group Christmas party) and I am 8 years post op and still maintaining my weight loss all these years later. I was 325 (lost 43 lbs before surgery)/ was 282 the day of my surgery/ I am now 125-130 and have been this for years.

I was lucky enough to be on vacation this July (2011), and my best friend had an appointment with Dr. Daly and I was so happy that I was able to go with her !! I have to say that Dr. Daly is still the greatest surgeon and one of the greatest human beings I know. He has always made me feel like I am part of his family and that if I ever need him, he would be there for me. He asked me how things where going and made me feel so glad I got to see him.

2nd REVIEW STARTS HERE...........

He is worth whatever it takes to have him as a surgeon, not only did he do my Lap RNY he also removed my gallbladder when that needed to be done.

One Monday I was in horrible pain and he could not figure it out, it did not matter how late in the day it was, he stayed until he figured it out, even if that meant surgery (I had an internal hernia, that even radiology could not see), but he would not go home with me in that much pain and not know why. Not that any surgeon wants to have to go back in "just to see" but like he said to me he would rather have a bruised ego than a dead patient any day. He could have admitted me and gone home to see what happened, but he did not, he stayed and found out why I was in so much pain, my small intestine had slipped through a hole in the mesentery, and I could not eat, drink, or even stand up straight. It was the most horrible pain, but he stayed and took care of me, and talked to my husband every step of the way.

I would also like to say that the long waits you have to wait to see him sometimes, bothered me before my surgery, but the morning after my surgery, I was bleeding internally (I have a rare bleeding disorder that was not diagnosed at the time), and he left a waiting room full of patients to take care of me, and for that I and my entire family thank him. I would never wait for my primary care doctor this way but I always wanted someone that would react in a crisis. He could of had whoever was on call take care of it but, no he came running and saved my life.

The rest of this is my original review that I did a long time ago, but I still feel the same way after all these years, one of the hardest parts of moving from GA to AR, was leaving Dr. Daly and his great staff, also all the support of his group and others.

1st REVIEW

What can I say, I wanted the best and I have found him. Dr. Daly is so confident but not arrogant. He lets you know that he cares about you. He tells it like it is, there is not a question that he flinches at when asked. He answers them all!!!rnrnHis staff is wonderful in answering questions (and I believe that a dr.'s staff says a lot about him), no matter how busy they are they take the time to answer your questions and never make you feel like you are wasting their time.rnrn3.5 years later and I still know I picked the right surgeon, he still follows my care even though I live 700 miles away from GA. Tammy faxes over what blood work I need and my pcp here (in AR) takes the blood and faxes the results back and then I get a call telling me what I need to change or I am doing great. He will be my surgeon and friend for life!

My first impression of Dr. Richard was WOW! I found him to be very compassionate of his work. His office staff is very nice and do their job top notch! Dr. Richard made sure that I knew exactly what was going to take place during surgery and that I was comfortable with everything. He had a gentle way of assuring me that being nervous was okay. I am so glad that he is going to be a part of this life changing journey with me! Dr. Richard is not only surgically competence, but his bedside manners are awesome! I think you have to have both to be a successful surgeon.

My first impression of Dr. Richard ... What a sweet, gentle and understanding man! He has such a pleasure to talk with and had the answers to all of my questions, and concerns.rn

Dr. Richard is the best! He doesn't try to rush you out of the office when you see him and he seems truly concerned at how I am doing. He is awesome! I have only had very positive experiences with the staff at Obesity Solutions and would highly recommend them to anyone considering surgery.

Quite, soft-spoken, and he emits a level of self-confidence and knowledge that makes me feel completely comfortable and confident in him. He performed my surgery in 58 minutes. I don't get nauseous, my pain level was very low, I was back at work in a week, and my scars will be minimal. I'd let him operate on me once a month if he said it was necessary, I have that much faith in him and I'm not a very doctor-friendly kinda person. The office runs very well. There seems to be enough staff, they know their job and do it well, and they all seem to truly care about the patients and each other. It seems very family oriented as I've seen some children of the office staff there. The practice is VERY involved in aftercare. The doctors are online once or twice a month to answer questions from anyone, they sponsor an exercise class several times a week, they have a full-time after care nurse, they have an online support system and live support meetings twice a month, they sponsored the 2003 Atlanta \"Walk From Obesity\", and the list goes on. Also, for your $6,600.00 fee you are a patient of the practice for life; never another charge to see the doctors or the nutritionist. I love a deal!!!!!

I was very pleased the first time I met Dr. Hart. He answered all of my questions and helped to ease the fears that I had concerning the surgery. His staff is FANTASTIC! They handled everything and I didn't to stress over the insurance or pre-op stuff. I would highly recommend Dr.Hart and his office. rnrnI do have to give a quick shout out to Rachel for answering all of my questions about my eating. She is a very important part of their office.

'3/15/06 - I met Dr. Williams today at my pre-op appointment and I was definitely pleased! He was very nice and made me feel very welcome and at ease

Dr. Hart and his office staff are absolutely wonderful! I am so happy that I made the decision to use Dr. Hart for my surgery.

My first impression of Dr. Daly was "he's serious but has a great sense of humor" his office manager Tammy is great she works really hard to make sure you are aware of every aspect of the surgery. He is very serious about the aftercare you have to sign a contract before you set a surgery date, but I like that he wants you to stay focus. He runs his own support groups

I had my first consult with a surgeon on 3/30/06! I chose Dr. John Daly based on my research and the specific things people mentioned on this site (and others). He is the Chief of Bariatrics at Northside Hospital and I also like that he is a General Surgeon (doesn't just do WLS), so can take care of different needs that might arise in a patient. My first impressions of him: He's nice, confident, experienced, funny, and answered every question to my satisfaction. I'll write more after I see him the 2nd time.....
