I WAS TOLD PRIOR TO MEETING DR. MATHIS THAT HE WAS A "POMPOUS BUTT". WHEN I MET HIM I AGREED BUT IN A GOOD WAY. HE IS A VERY STRAIGHT FORWARD PERSON. HE TELLS YOU WHAT HE CAN DO AND WHAT HE CAN OFFER YOU. HE ALSO TELLS YOU WHAT HE EXPECTS OF YOU AND IF YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO DO THAT THEN HE HAS NO TIME FOR YOU. I NEEDED SOMEONE LIKE HIM. I HAD COMPLICATIONS AND HE STUCK RIGHT WITH ME THROUGH IT. HE MADE SURE I HAD CARE IF HE WAS NOT AVAILABLE. HIS OFFICE STAFF WAS VERY COMFORTING. HE IS VERY INTERESTED IN AFTER CARE AND WILL TELL YOU THAT YOU ARE STUCK WITH HIM FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE. UNFORTUNATELY HOWEVER HE NO LONG PERFORMS THIS SURGERY. I WOULD RATE HIM AS A VERY COMPETENT, STRAIGHTFORWARD, COMFORTING, CONCERNED SURGEON.

Dr. Mathis was very kind. I have been for two visits and he takes the time to answere all of my questions. The staff has been excellent. When you visit Dr. Mathis he gives you a book to read cover to cover and then you come back. If you decide this is what is right for you. He was very up front with me on all of the risks. He puts it plain and simple!
