From the first time I met Dr. Chiasson he was very professional! He's very passionate about weight loss surgery, and making sure people choose the right thing for THEM. He's very thorough with his pre-op testing and although it took longer then what I had imagined to get them all done, I appreciate that he has all these to make sure that we know its the right decision for ourselves! His staff is very nice, and VERY helpful. I honestly am so grateful to have him as my surgeon. He's very informative and insists on you asking questions! Not to mention he has a very nice sense of humor! I would recommend him to anyone living in the Southern Arizona area.

Dr Burpee is very approachable and personable. He did a great job on my surgery and I had no issues post op.rnMy only real problem has been with his office staff. The person who took care of the insurance authorizations was very short tempered and rude. I never felt there was a contact person at the office who really cared about me or my needs, except for Dr. Burpee himself.rnThere is really no aftercare program. But I knew that ahead of time. I would recommend Dr. Burpee for surgery, but would hope that he is able to put together a more comprehensive program and improve the attitude of his office staff.

Great surgeon!! Very structured after care. Reviewed all the risks prior to surgery.

I have always been relaxed when talking with Dr. Burpee. I don't know if it is because he always sees big people like me or his bed side manner. He is never rushed when I have questions and will answer them in a way that I can understand. He has not given me and false hopes about the surgery and is up front and honest about everything. rnrnDr. Burpee stresses aftercare a great deal. It is important for him that he gets his point across in a way that is not rude but to the point. He informed me that the surgery is not what is going to help me lose the weight, it is me that will help the surgery lose my weight.

He is great, the staff is a little busy and hard get ahold of. He does return calls promptly. Had a peice of scar tissue wrapped around bowels and he stayed with the problem until he found it and everything great now. He is very honest about risks and need for aftercare.

I work in the health care field and am lucky to have first hand knowledge of the work that some of the bariatric surgeons in my area do. Since I'm a RN in the ICU, I see when some of these surgeries go wrong. That is why I chose my surgeon Dr S. Burpee. Before I even considered WLS, I felt Dr Burpee was an exceptional surgeon. He has a great bedside mannor, very compassionate, and is very easy to work with (coming from a nurse, that is a compliment). So, when my plastic surgeon suggested the lap band surgery and gave me a refferal to another Dr, I didn't even think twice before I booked an appointment with Dr Burpee. Although, it was very stressful and time consuming, I was able to schedule my pre-op appiontments and have my surgery completed within 4 weeks!! I denfinately would recommend Dr Burpee to anyone!

rnrnDr Patrick ChiassonrnI attended a seminar with Dr Patrick Chiasson on Wednesday 04/28/2008 & wow was I impressed with his wisdom as well as his knowledge. I had my first consultation on April 29th after emailing Dr Chiassons website on April 27th explaining my previously canceled surgery & my devastation surrounding the sudden cancellation. His assistant Boo phoned me the next day to set up an appointment & an invitation to the seminar the following evening. His office staff especially Boo & his receptionist were so kind & pleasant . They even made arrangements for me to visit the resident Nutritionist that very day knowing that I live 200 miles from the office to save us another trip to Tucson.rnI had my RNY completed on August 13 2008 & I would recommend Dr Chiasson to anyone . He is so kind & understanding but also stern where it comes to following the rules .He also has a great sense of humor !! His bedside manner is impeccable . He has completed 100's of weight loss surgeries so he knows excactly what to expect of his patients.
