He is a great Surgeon. He did my mother's vbg about 10 months ago, and now he will do mine in about a month. I really liked him. He was very thourough with his explination and offers follow up that is exceptional.

Dr. Rupp is just great. My first impression of him (at the initial information session) was that he was intelligent, funny and patient. Once I met with him one-on-one I realized how much he really cares about each of his patients. His staff is great, they bent over backwards to get me an ealier surgery date, even though they NEVER do that, because I was going to be unemployed. Everyone has been kind, quick to answer questions, and helpful. It WAS frustrating how long I had to wait in the reception room when I had my meeting with Dr. Rupp, but I was prepared (thanks to everyone else's responses on this website, I knew to expect a wait!). I am looking forward to being a part of his aftercare program, which he emphasizes is critical to long term sucess. I was just really impressed that Dr. Rupp not only has an amazing reputation as a wonderful surgeon (very picky and precise and good at what he does), but also has a very kind and caring bedside manner. He's quick postoperatively (but hopefully you have a lot of wonderful nurses taking care of you then), but he's there if you need him!

My first impression of Dr.Kelly was that he didn't have the holier than though attitude that most doctors seem to have. His office staff is so helpful. If you call them and have even the dumbest or annoying question, they will call you back the same day and be happy you called, and not act like your bothering them at all.

His office and their whole program has a major focus no preparing you or conditioning you before surgery. I feel that due to their information I am very prepared. There is a big emphasis on aftercare. They highly recommend it. There is a structured group that works closely with the Psychitrist that works closely with their program.

I think that they care and really do their best in helping understand all the issues, dangers and otherwise. I feel safe.

So far the only time I've seen Dr. Rupp is at the informational meeting. He has a good sense of humor and communicates medical information using every-day terminology. My gut feeling from this one time meeting is that he seems to be a very compassionate man. I'll write more when I have my pre-op visit with him.

My overall opinion of Dr. Rupp and his staff is pretty good. My husband went with my for my visit with him. He was very nice and addresed my concerns. Did NOT rush me out of his office. I feel I am in capable hands.

My opinion of Lana Beutocoff(sp).....Just awful. the whole process with her was just unspeakable. she origially denied me as I was depressed. What they don't get is your depressed because of weight. I had to wait several months, then I saw the other lady in her office, a little bit better bur...Dr. Rupp needs to find other Drs. in this field to represent him.

I was referred to Dr. Rupp by my PCP as "the only surgeon I (the PCP) trust to do this surgery". I am waiting for the required informational meeting on Jan 15th. Will post more about the Dr. when I know more.
Jan 15, 2003, had the informational meeting today. I am highly impressed with Dr. Rupp and his staff. He seems vey down to earth and caring. More like a real person than just a doctor. Very kind in answering all questions and concerns that were brought to him. I think I will enjoy having him as a surgeon very much.

April 27, 2004 Rupp took a partner named Dr. Kelly. Since he's not as booked as Rupp and I know he has been working with Rupp for at least 2 years, I'm going to go with him as my surgeon. I will be meeting him on Friday and will tell ya what I think of him.
April 30, 2004 Met with Dr Kelly. He seems like a very nice man and I trust him well enough to put my life in his hands. Much quicker scheduling availability too! Does everything the same as Rupp.

Dr. Rupp was awesome he answered all of my question at the drop of a hat and did not blink or even look away, he looked right in my eyes like he knew what he was talking about and i am very happy to have him as my surgeon.

Dr Rupp was wonderful to talk to. He was very patient with any questions. He also was very good at going through the risks and making sure to be hooked up to any specialists that I needed to see so the the surgery wouldn't have any unforseen problems.

I have my open VGB today and so far so good with Dr Rupp. I had a pic line put in yesterday and I need to be at United today at NOON. I am thrilled to get this tool to help me with the weight loss. Dr Rupps office has been great so far
