The Weight Loss Center at Pinnacle Health Bariatric Center

My first impression of Dr. DiMarco was a friendly and caring doctor who is very knowledgable about bariatric surgery. I felt comfortable talking to him. I saw him only once so far, I won't see him again until I get insurance approval.
The office staff is very nice and friendly and also very helpful. The dietician are very good.
He does a lot of surgeries and his patients seem very satisfied. He takes the time to explain everything to you and answer all your questions.
He emphasizes aftercare a lot. He says that it is very important. He also has a good aftercare program for those who have had the surgery.
So far I would rate him a 10 overall.
I believe both competence and bedside manner are important.

Dr. DiMarco was wonderful. I had the VBG in 1996, so I had a HUGE scar and significant adhesions. Dr. DiMarco promised me that he would do eveything possible to so this second surgery laproscopically, and he DID! I was so pleased.
Both his surgical competence and bedside manner are great.
His office staff are wonderful, and they do schedule regular visits to track your progress. I'm a little disappointed that there isn't any structured support program.
Overall, I would rate Dr. DiMarco and his staff a 9.

Dr. DiMarco is fabulous. I don't have a negative word to say. He has a confidence, not arrogant at all, that made me feel immediately comfortable. He is down to earth and very kind. He takes time with his patients and this is a quality that everyone deserves. Many will complain about the long time they had to wait in the waiting room, as he is never on schedule. I respect this, however, because what that shows me is that he is willing to take the time to educate and comfort the patients he serves. The office staff at the Weight Loss Clinic in Harrisburg is also superb. I must say fine things about Dr. Wieger as well. He also spends time with his patients and allows them to ask questions... providing prompt, accurate responses, earning trust very quickly from this otherwise untrusting individual. I am currently only one week post-op, with very few complications. The risks and benefits were put out on the table and allowed the individual to decide if they want this lifestyle changing operation. The aftercare program is also very structured, the meal plans are concise and they are always available. These are amazing people! Of course I read below and the 100% postive responses are, "suspect"...oh well, suspect me. This is only my personal opinion and I would never tell anyone to get an operation that would change their lives if they are not ready. I am not a professional in this field, thus contact one if you want more information. Thanks again!

I met him for the first time back in March. He was very confident in what he was telling me and very assured that everything would be perfect. With no complications(diabetes, sleep apnea, etc) he's confident things will go smoothly. He and Dr. Weiger spent over 2 hours going over everything with me. I was a little nervous because things seemed to be going so fast but they answered every question. Their staff was nice but the office seemed a bit dated and old. I dont mean that a negative way but it was a bit less then what I thought itw ould be.

I had my consulation with Dr. DiMarcon on Monday Feb. 16th. He was an hour late for my appointment. When he finally arrived, Dr. DiMarco sat with my husband and me and discussed the surgery in great detail. He allowed us to ask any questions we wanted to. I felt very comfortable with Dr. DiMarco and his confidence in being able to perform this surgery for me without any problems. His office staff is very helpful and very nice to work with. I am going to meet with Dr. Wieger on 3/1 to start my "Insurance Required" diet. After meeting with Dr. DiMarco I am more sure of my decision to have the surgery.

My first impression of Dr DiMarco was that he was very sure of himself with the procedure. He made you feel at ease to talk to him.The office staff was very good and have a good routine set up.I also met with Dr Weiger several times also for my 3 month set up for weight loss cause my insurance required this.he is very good in explaining the procedure of R N Y.They are all gun hoe for your surgery case they want you to be happy with yourself also.My doctor did explain the risks but there are all kinds of risks with any type of surgery but if you have the good medical doctor you dont worry about any risks .

Dr.DiMarco had a very warm and concerned approach, making me feel
confident and reassured. He was very willing to discuss my concerns with me, and was
also very informative about the procedure.
About l0 weeks following my surgery, I developed a stricture. I mentioned my symptoms to Dr. DiMarco at a support group
meeting on Monday evening. He asked me to call his office on Tuesday morning to make
arrangements to have an EGD performed and
by Thursday afternoon of the same week I had
already had the procedure and was back home,
feeling much better.

I had previously met Dr DiMarco through working at a hospital in the area. He has always been known for his bedside manner and caring for his patients. He treated me no differently at my consultation, answered all my questions.......treated me wonderfully. He explained everything always asking if I had any questions and taking the time to answer them so I would understand him. He addressed problems that may occur post-op, the statistics, and the care I will get post-op at Osteo. It makes me feel better knowing they have their own bariatric wing with nurses familiar with RNY patients. The staff I think is wonderful, friendly and am happy with my decision in choosing Dr DiMarco's office.

My first impression of him was positive, he was open and friendly and explained everything completely. My opinion of him has only gotten better since my first appointment -- he was superb when I was in the hospital, caring and reassuring. He has a wonderful bedside manner, really cares about his patients. Sorry, but in this case I have nothing negative to say about him, except that his reputation is he can run late occasionally -- but I haven't experienced that! His office staff is also superb, as is the other surgeon and his resident. They have an aftercare group that meets twice a month, and follow up frequently with their patients. Dr. DiMarco explained all of the risks of surgery completely, and encourages questions. His surgical competence and his bedside manner are both superb, and I would give him the highest possible rating.
