UnityPoint Health Weight Loss Bariatric Center

Things are good and I feel good about Dr. LaMasters. I would recomend that others see her.
The only negitives have been with the office staff ( Nurses) The nutritionist is very helpful.
I think that they could have a stronger aftercare program. I feel like I am having to find out things and get support on my own.

I want everyone out there to know that Dr LaMasters is the best surgeon! She is in Des Moines and she was wonderful to me and my family! She came in after surgery and explained everything to me! She is very caring. She doesnt treat people like just another surgery! I want to thank her for taking such good care of me!

I had my first visit with Dr. LaMasters about 3 weeks ago and found her to be very compassionate and knowledgable. She took time to explain things thoroughly and gave me the confidence that even though I need to lose a bit of weight prior to surgery, that it can be done successfully. I'm very thankful to have her as my surgeon. The rest of the staff was also helpful and kind. The nutritionist is a bit high strung, but I guess that's from always eating healthy! I will have a followup appointment in a few weeks to see where the weight loss is at.

I have nothing but good things to say about Dr LaMasters. She did a lot of research before doing my case. I have Lupus on top of everything and she talk to other doctors and researched what surgery was for me. I have total trust and faith in her, I would not hesatate to do this all over again with her. There is really nothing bad to say, not about Dr. LaMasters. The CCU at Methodist was another thing. But that had nothing to do with my dr. I am happy with the whole group Dr. LaMasters office~rnThanks Dr LaMasters!!!!rn
