Barry Berger Bariatric Physician MD,DO

I am a current patient of Dr. Berger and am very satisfied with the results he has helped me with. I am young and baby weight took a toll on me I have tried other diets lik weight watchers and lost weight but gained it all back and then some! None of the diets have I even got down to the weight I am now that Dr. Berger helpd me get too! His plan just makes sense when he breaks it down. I have lost 50 lbs in 5 months and still going. the scale doesn't lie! If you ever have a concern you can call him,he worked around my schedule and that was amazing to me as well. I have recomended all my friends to him as they keep asking me how I. Am doing it its Dr. Berger his plan really does work.

I went to Dr. Berger in 2006 and at the age of 55 I lost 45 lbs and got down to 110 lbs. His program makes complete sense if you follow his directions. I did put some weight back on because I quit following his plan. I'm back on and am losing again. Dr. Berger is the best doctor I've been to and I highly recommend him to anyone!!!

In Dr. Berger's defense, I would like to say that before people post comments in attempt to ruin their reputation, please take a minute to really evaluate the situation, as Donna Kaspers clearly did not do. As she attempts to put fault onto Dr. Berger, in the same paragraph she admits to taking home what she got from Dr. Berger (meal plans etc) and lost the weight on her own...that's how it works...the Dr. can only educate, motivate and monitor, but it's the patient's responsibility to use the tools and education from the Dr. and lose the weight themselves-Donna admitted that the weight came off-the ball was dropped when she wasn't continuing to be monitored and most likely slowly got back into her old habits once she lost the weight (which is VERY common)-the only way the weight can come back is when you steer away from the regimine-if a plan and regimine helps you to lose 40 lbs., your body doesn't just one day decide to respond differently and put the weight back if you are overall healthy and sticking to what the dr. told you-by no means is this the dr's fault. This is very irresponsible on her part and a shameful thing to do.

Hello Viewers, I am Dr Barry Berger and unfortunately feel obligated to rebut a former patient of mine's comments about myself professionally and personally. I have over 3000 patients that I have seen for Obesity and unforunately there's always someone thats not satisfied. I totally dispute Donna Kaspers claim that I am unsympathetic with patients, bill insurance companies for treatments not performed and only spend 3 minutes with patients. Thats obsurd! She failed to mention that I spent 30 minutes with her initially and then 2 and 1/2 hours in a long consultation which gave her the education to lose the 40 pounds in the first place. That she gained it all back is not a fault of mine. If she had continued to follow up the weight would have stayed off. As far as billing insurance companies for Physical therapy i didn't perform, that is the category Insurance companies use for body fat analysis, which I did perform on Ms Kasper.I'm sorry she feels she had a bad experience with me but I can give anyone who contacts me hundreds of references of former patients that will give a much less biased opinion of myself and my practice. thank you very much. Barry Berger MD DO

Dr Berger only spends 3 mins per visit w/you after the initial appointment. He reprimands you when you don't lose weight - not very empathetic. He also bills insurance companies for things he doesn't really do - like physical therapy etc. He insists on being paid in full upfront or you can forget any treatment. His staff was very rude - especially the receptionist or the girl that does all his billing and admin work. All in all I would NOT recommend this doctor nor would I ever go back to him. I actually only went to 4 visits and continued the diet he gave me and lost the weight on my own. Overall weight loss: 40 lbs - gained it all back in 2 years!
