Alexander Villares Bariatric Surgeon M.D., F.A.C.S.

He is responsible for injury to many patients and nearly killed my mom in 2018. She was in and out of comas and almost died from sepsis due to his malpractice. The damage this Villares caused to my mom ended up contributing to her death a few years later. She had so much scar tissue and damage inside her that later on doctors could not perform a needed surgery on her and she had to be placed on hospice and died. The medical board only keeps records publicly available online for 5 years but when he performed surgery on my mom he was already on probation for malpractice on other patients and at least one died.He has been on probation at least twice in the last 6 years for causing serious harm to patients. Dr Villares is the best physician I had ever been to. I found him via Google searching for the Ideal Protein Diet. I feel very fortunate to be his patient. He is incredibly knowledgable, kind and caring. He helped me lose 49 lbs with the Ideal Protein diet. He then performed an extensive hernia repair as well as an incisional repair with a mini tummy tuck. As I am healing I am amazed at the great work he did on my abdomen. It was so well done, you'd think he was a plastic surgeon instead of a bariatric surgeon.
I can't say enough about what a fantastic physician he is. If you are looking for a physician who is a bariatric doctor as well as a diet coach, this is the doctor to see. You won't be disappointed!

My first impression? Holy crap- he is a doctor? Are you sure? He looks younger than my kid brother? Hey- they did say first impression. After listening to Dr Villares for a little while my impression did change. He is so knowledgeable in what he talks of. I could hear the convinction in his voice about his work. He is modest and extremely comforting.rnrnI can't say anything bad about him- yet- we only just met!rnrnHis team has an entire pre/post program that is designed to help patients succeed. I loved that the entire team was present for the seminar- really getting all questions out of the way from the very beginning.rnrnDr Villares in no way lessened the potential risks of surgery- but beacuse of his confidence and great record I am certain he is the guy for me- and my mother too!rnrnOverall- he is an absolute 10! I can't wait for my surgery date!rn

Dr. Villares is an awesome surgeon! He has a great bedside manner, and he is very intelligent, I have complete confidence in his abilities. My scars from lap are even smaller than average. My impression didn't change over time, he did everything he could to make me feel comfortable. rnrnIn the operating room the oxygen mask was sliding up into my eyes and he noticed, and while the anesthesiologist was putting me to sleep, he came over and pulled the mask out of my eyes and held it there while he rubbed my shoulder. He is THE BEST! rnOf course, his office staff is wonderful,they always made me feel comfy and Nicole is really good at getting insurance approvals. The Bridges educational program is great too. I really am so glad I got the opportunity to have Dr. Villares as my surgeon. On a scale of 1 to 10, he gets 100!!! I am not kidding. I can't say enough good things, absolutely no complaints. rn

I love Dr Villares and the Banner Good Sams bariatric center. He makes you feel at ease right away and listens and answers all your questions. I am having a hard time getting a date for my surgery and his staff on the phone is sometimes rude.I would highly recomend him and the center at Good Sams to anyone wanting bariatric surgery!

I am very pleased with my overall experience with Dr. Villares and his team. They are very helpful and encouraging. I love the dietian as well, she really stays up with you to make sure your overall health is good. I give Dr. Villares and his team a big 10 on a scale of 1-10 on my overall satisfactory. I would reccommend him and his team to anyone who needs his services.

Recieved refferal, just awaiting appointment w/surgeon.rnrnI went to see Dr. Villares today for my consultation. All I can say is that he is very comforting. The visit was relaxing and he was very thorough. His staff is awesome, I was very nervous going in there, just the fear of the unknown. But, as soon as I walked in and spoke to the wonderfull women on his staff I was able to exhale. rnrnI also attended his seminar and it was so informative. There were no questions unanswered. You know the phrase \"Ask and yee shall receive\" well that is the truth. All questions asked by the attendees were answered and in complete and concise manner. There was no fluff or bull fed to you, just all truth of your pros and cons and responsibility. rnrnI fee very confident that I made the right decision and I thank OH for their availability because w/out OH I would have never found Dr. Villares. I can ramble on forever about my experience, but all I can say is if you are reading this and considering Dr.Villares you will not be dissapointed.....GUARANTEED.

I have been totally happy with Dr. Villares. From the moment my husband and I met him, we felt totally comfortable with him and felt that he was very competent. He is easy to talk to and ask questions of. He walked through the whole process for my husband so that he understood what was going to happen in surgery. I am still happy with him a year after surgery. His office staff is always happy to help out and answer questions. His nutritionist gave me her cell number so I could call her anytime I needed to. Dr V. is an excellent surgeon and works at a 'Bariatric Center of Excellence' Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center. His program is very structured and works. I followed all of his rules and have had no problems at all. Prior to surgery he had me visit a cardiologist to be sure my heart was up to the surgery. He also had several tests to be done before setting a surgery date. He ran certain tests after the surgery too just as a precaution. I was in the hospital 2 days with no issues and went home feeling like I had not had surgery. He has a group shared medical appointment if you do not want to see him individually or you can make your regular appointments. I like to have my own time with him. I honestly cannot think of one negative thing to say about him. He has a great bedside manner and is always polite and to the point.
