Dr. Heydari is amazing! His record is astounding and has very good bedside manner. Very busy man though so don't be surprised if you have to wait a bit for appointments. I would never have changed my decision or my surgeon.

I'm a band to bypass patient of Dr. Heydari's. Dr. H didn't put my band in, my band was placed but another surgeon in the area who I was no longer comfortable with. When I started looking into revision surgery, Dr. Heydari kept popping up. I made an appointment and was sold after 5 minutes of talking to him. He doesn't rush. He asks all the right questions and answers any question you may ask. He's incredibly caring.

I couldn't be happier with my choice of procedure or doctor who helped me make the best choice for me. I can't thank Dr. H or his staff enough for completely changing my life.

3 weeks after my gastric bypass, I went to the ER in terrible pain....I needed to have my gall bladder removed. Dr. Heydari was there and preformed the operations. When the nurse told me that he removed her gall bladder a few years ago and the anesthesiologist said he trusted his mother to have surgery with Dr. Heydari a few months ago, you can't feel any more confident in your surgeon!

Dr. H has a great bed side manner and his program has been very successful for me. I can't say enough good things about him!

I think Dr Heydari is wonderful, However- (they do not mention at seminar)that you have to pay your insurance deductable and maxium out of pocket expenses to his office and Centegra upfront. You do not find this out until after your consulation with the dietician and clinical staff. I understand paying any deductable up front but many of us have high out of pocket expenses and when you get a letter shortly after you see the dr, you are given an amount they think you should pay.... Traditionally, a surgeon and hospital will bill your insurance carrier first, then bill you any balance. Many insurance carriers pay at different rates, depends upon the contract the Dr holds with that insurance company. Same with the hospital. I can see getting a payment plan in place prior to surgery, which doesnt seem to be offered in literature received. I got the feeling that weight loss surgery is about the $$$$$. That personally made me question weight loss surgery. Also, consider the cost of the plastic surgery you may need for excess skin due to rapid weight loss, which most insurance companies do not cover.. I think Dr has alot of experience in the field but I am writing this to make you aware of the fianacial aspect of the surgery. I am hoping this saves someone the suprise I received, and I am in the medical field. Wishing everyone the best in your journeys in life.

I had my gastric bypass sugery on 10/30/2012 and it went very well. From the informational meeting to all the appointments Dr Heydaria and his staff have been very supportive. The support that you get is just fantastic. Dr Heydari is a wonderful surgeon. He makes sure that you are very well informed about the surgery and what to expect after your surgery. The classes that are required are excellent. They also offer a suppport group. You never feel as if you are alone in your journey, they are all there with you.If anyone who reads this is considering having weight loss surgery I would highly recommed Dr. Heydari and his staff

My experience has been outstanding with this surgeon and his team! I took my time in selecting a surgeon, meeting with a couple before deciding on the program at Centegra. These are the things that "sold me" this was the right place for me:
-The surgeon's bedside manner is excellent. He is not only an extremely talented surgeon, he also has a level of compassion and understanding with his patients that I have never seen before. He truly cares!

- Great stats. His numbers speak for themselves. Clearly, they are doing something right at Centegra!

- Fantastic support staff. I think sometimes patients underestimate the importance of a great support staff. You'll be working with these folks even more than the surgeon, so it's important that they are professional, competent, and caring. His staff is all of the above, and more. He's got one-stop-shopping too - with nutritionists, a psychologist, nurses, and other staff dedicated to helping his bariatric patients every step of the way (before, during, and well after surgery).

-Support groups. This was a big deal to me because I knew I wanted a program with a robust support group. This one is great! We meet twice a month, have great speakers, share our successes and struggles, and even have fun events and clothing exchanges. They are very well attended!

-I needed a sleeve surgeon. I knew I wanted the sleeve before I had decided which surgeon I wanted. Many surgeons still don't offer the sleeve, or they try to discourage it because they really only want to do bands and rny. While Dr. Heydari does mostly RNY, he was no newbie to the sleeve and was supportive in my decision and certain I could make goal with it.

I had my sleeve in Dec of 2011 -- it is now July 2012 and I've lost almost 120 pounds so far! I've had no complications and have great restriction.

I highly recommend Dr. Heydari and his fabulous comprehensive program to anyone seeking a surgeon! Put him on your list and attend an info session, you'll see what I mean. :)

Dr. Heydari was a very polite calm and down to earth individual who thoroughly explained the surgical process and answered all of my questions before the fact (some before I even asked them). I knew I was at the right place once I saw how dedicated he and his staff were to making my procedure and overall experience as pleasant and positively memorable as possible. The pre-op classes we took were very comprehensive and informative and his staff is always there even when he isnt to look into your individual case and treat you like royalty. You find his staff very easy to reach in case of any difficulty. Dr. Heydari called to check up on me personally in the first few weeks after surgery. I dont know how I would have fared if I had done this procedure somewhere else, but thankfully I dont have to think about that. I know that with Dr. Heydari and his staff, I will be able to move forward w/o any limits. I'd recommend him to absolutely anyone.

Dr. Heydari is a skilled and no-nonsense surgeon. I really liked
his direct explanation of the various surgeries--risks and benefits. His stastics for success gave me confidence. I can't say enought good things about the pre-op program. The presentations by his staff were clear and factual. They said that surgery was not "the easy way". I felt very confident about what I had to do to be successful---and if not, I knew that I had ready access to help. I felt VERY well informed about what I was getting into. Surgery was a breeze--home the next day. No pain pills or discomfort (the drain was annoying). I started to vomit 6 days after surgery, and had to be readmitted to the hospital (scary). Unknown cause. Susie, the nurse, was with me everyday at the hospital. I never felt like "just another patient" to her. I feel great 9 weeks post-op. Dr. Heydari's staff is wonderful and excited by everyones successes. Office visits are like a celebration. Miss my Diet Coke, but don't miss my size 3X.

Not only is Dr. Heydari a down to earth extremely great person in general but he is an amazing surgeon. His staff is great as well and a reflection of who he is. They are so understanding and truly friends to everyone who walks through their doors. Some of the staff themselves have had a surgery of some sort and answer any questions and if they don't know they will find out the answers for you. From the receptionist to the nurses to the nutritionists they all welcome you into the office and sometimes with a hug. I've never met a doctor in my life who is the way Dr. H is with his patients. He joins the support group for gatherings such as support group meetings as a guest speaker to our annual Christmas and Halloween parties. These people are not just my doctor and his staff they are all my friends and support from months before surgery to now almost a year and a half post surgery.

Dr. Heydari is amazing....his program is amazing he is caring, thoughtful, and followed up all the time with me. Every morning I was in the hospital he stopped by at 7 am to check on me see how I was doing and give me updates on the day.

I would recommend him to anyone of my friends or family. He saved my dad who was he was very sick and needed a hernia operation even though everyone else told him he was unoperable because of his advanced heart disease, he gave my dad the choice instead of not even trying.

Thank you Dr. Heydari for everything you are truley a gift from god.

Dr Heydari is serious about helping overweight patients. This man and his team are true Godsends. I feel very supported by Dr Heydari and feel like I wasn't a paycheck for him, but a real opportunity to help change my life.
