I first met Dr. Sandor a few years ago for a different problem and he suggested the bypass surgery for me. He has handled every issue with great care and I was quite impressed. He was my first choice for Gastric Bypass surgery when I finally made the decision to have it. The entire experience was great! Although nervous going into the OR, he made me feel better to know that was normal and came to see me each day. Even having me to a upper gi test to make sure there was no problems when I was having some nausea (even though I can't stand that particular test). Dr. Sandor handles every patient with care and treats you like a person, not just a number in line. He will be my first choice for all future surgeries, if ever I need something done and he handles those problems. The office staff has been courteous and handled each of my questions carefully, even before surgery. I just wish the support group met more often, as that has been most helpful with identifying problems and figuring out how to solve them.

When I went to the first meeting I was very impressed, We were delayed alittle, but Kathy Saved the day. And we had the oreintaion. I called Kathy the next day and started the process. I had Surgery July 22,2008. I have to say Dr Andras Sandor was the very best surgeon I could have had. I have been telling everyone in work how my family and me wouldn't have wanted anyone else. My Husband and daughter said Dr. Sandor was the greatest Doctor they have met.rnAfter sugery Dr Sandor came to the room to check on me. and talked to the family. I remember seeing him. rnAs far a rate him overall. I guest A SUPER DOCTOR!. Dr. Sandor is kind, friendly and he is just awsome.rnI have to say Kathy is one of the Greatest Secretarties I have ever meet. When Kathy talked to me on the phone she was friendly, soft spoken and knew what she was talking about. rnI Just saw Kathy 7/31/08 and unfortunately, Dr. Sandor was a little late (EMERGENCYSURGERY)and Kathy kept us informed. AS THEY SAY DR. SANDOR WAS WORTH WAITING FOR. rn

I liked him right away, easy to talk to and it seemed like he really cared and wanted me to know if I was going to do this I had to follow his program so that I would be successful. My impression got even better each time I talked to him or met him. The staff was very helpful and stayed on top of everything. They were just a phone call away. He is a very busy Doctor and I get the feeling that he is very sought after. He doesnt pull any punches which is nice but is very supportive. He cant say enough about the aftercare, all the appointent are setup in advance. He was very upfront about the problems that might arise from surgey but also made it clear that I needed to follow his instruction and everything would go well. If I had to give him a rating it would be 100% You could not ask for a better surgen and his beside manner was very comforting.

Dr. Sandor is a wonderful, compassionate surgeon. His informational session was so informative, I wanted to book my date that night! rnrnHe answers every question, and specializes in laporoscopic surgery; I opted for lap-band, but does Gastric Bypass also. His assistant Cathy is wonderful. Commonwealth Surgical Associates is a well-oiled machine... rnrnDr. Sandor goes over all the complications and the risks and tells you over and over that this is not a \"fix\".. that you - the patient, still have to do most of the work. He stresses that if you are going to go through this surgery (lap-band) to please do all the necessary steps to get your head in the right mindset - otherwise - why have the surgery?rnrnI have had 2 fills so far and feel fantastic. I've lost 46 lbs since mid-Sept 07. ((4 months)rnrnThanks Dr. Sandor, for allowing me to get healthy again!

Dr Sandor is such a sweetheart. He is just so caring and will answer any question I can come up with. I have only seen him 2x and I am already impressed with his credentials and also with his obvious caring about and for his pts. When I took his intro pack to my pcp she laughed and said \"I know him! He was chief surgical resident at UMASS Medical Center when I was just a lowly med student! He is a really nice person and a fantastic surgeon.\" That was good to know.

Dr. Sandor has seminars once a month. I actually went to 2 of them, just because I wanted to hear everything again and get to know Dr. Sandor a bit more. My impression of him: very smart..he knows his stuff and he was very calming. The office staff is awesome, a mile and hello are always in line. Aftercare is great. I see him every 2-3 weeks. He asks how I am doing and he really listens. He is strick with follwoing his instructions regarding before and after surgery. If you follow his advice you will loose weight. I would rate him the best as far as I am concerned.

My first impression of Dr Sandor was that he was a kind and compassionate man. He spoke to me as an equal, not like some doctors, who talk down to you. He was very thorough with his explanations, making sure all along that I understood, what I was getting myself into with RNY surgery. He visited me each day in the hospital, always willing to talk and answers any questions, I had for him. rnHis staff are also kind and compassionate people, always with a smile and how are you doing. Overall, if I ever needed to have surgery again, Dr Sandor would be the first person I call on and would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone else. His bedside manner and surgical competence are both equally GREAT.
