    Dr. Anthony McCluney, Bariatric Surgeon Anthony McCluney, MD, FACS is the Assistant Director of Bariatric Surgery at Steward Center for Weight Control at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center located in Brighton, Massachusetts and an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Tufts Medical Center. He earned his medical degree at the prestigious Harvard Medical School in Cambridge, Massachusetts and completed his residency in General Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital. He fellowship trained in advanced laparoscopic and bariatric surgery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Dr. McCluney is board-certified by the American College of Surgeons and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons and of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. In addition to performing bariatric surgery, Dr. McCluney has also participated in research and co-authored articles that have been published in top industry journals.
