    Dr. Ayotunde Adeyeri, Bariatric Surgeon

    Ayotunde Adeyeri, MD, FASMBS is a board-certified and fellowship-trained general and bariatric surgeon specializing in laparoscopic and minimally invasive weight loss surgery. He is the Medical Director and Founder of Sterling Surgicare in Holmdel, New Jersey and Medical Director of the Institute for Weight Loss at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Old Bridge; and Co-Medical director of Central Jersey Bariatrics located in Freehold.

    Dr. Adeyeri earned his medical degree from Columbia University Medical School and completed his general surgery residency at Columbia University at Harlem Hospital Center where he was appointed Chief Resident. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship in minimally invasive and general surgery at the University of Rochester. During his residency, he also completed a research fellowship in transplantation immunobiology.

    Dr. Adeyeri is a respected fellow of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (FASMBS), a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES), and a member of the American College of Surgeons (ACS).

    Dr. Adeyeri has authored many articles to help educate and support his patients and the bariatric community. He is a regular contributor and expert commentator for national, regional and local media publications where he shares his expertise on issues related to obesity treatment, weight management, GI surgery, and advanced minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Adeyeri is also a frequent contributing featured author on ObesityHelp.com to educate and support the bariatric surgery community.

Guided by Dr. Adeyeri, our team is experienced in general surgery procedures and advanced GI surgery procedures including laparoscopic colon resection, laparoscopic splenectomy, small bowel resection, and bilateral hernia repair.
