Dr. Beth Schrope is 100%!
My impression has not change! I have the utmost confidence in her.
All the staff associated with NY Columbia Presbyterian Obesity Center are wonderful!
Like least.............nothing.
I would highly recommend anyone in the NY area considering this procedure contact the Obesity Center @ NY Columbia Presbyterian Hospital.
I developed a post-op complication (seroma) and Dr. Schrope ordered visiting nurse services twice each day for wound care. The visiting nurse was at my door the following day.
Dr. Schrope was straight up about all risks involved.
Again, Dr. Schrope is 100%!
Both surgical competence and bedside manner are great!

MY FIRST IMPRESSION OF DR SCHROPE WAS...DAMN SHE VERY YOUNG AND SHE LOOKS BETTER IN PERSON....THEN I THOUGHT OK...SHE IS VERY INFORMATIVE...I REALLY HAD ALOT OF QUESTIONS TO ASK..AND SHE WAS A VERY NICE, SHE TOOK HER TIME ANSWERING ALL OF THEM...HER STAFF IS WONDERFUL...INSTEAD OF THEM CALLING ME DAWN..THEY HAVE NICK NAMED ME DAWNIE....I QUESS CAUSE I USE TO CALL SO MUCH IN THE BEGINNING....THERE ISNT ANYTHING NEGATIVE TO SAY ABOUT DR SCHROPE OR HER STAFF...THEY ARE ALL VERY NICE... I CAN REALLY SAY...I'M IN GOOD HANDS...THE DR AND I SPOKE ABOUT..THE DANGERS THAT COULD OCCUR AFTER SURGERY...LEAKS ETC...SHE IS VERY CAUTIOUS..SHE STATED THAT SHE WILL REQUEST TEST BE GIVEN JUST AS A PRECAUTION....I WOULD RATE DR SCHROPE A 7...THE OTHER THREE POINTS SHE WILL HOPEFULLY GAIN DURING AND AFTER SURGERY....

Dr. Schrope is amazing! She is incredibly personable and professional and made me very at ease from the first moment I met her. Her entire staff and all of her residents were very compassionate and could answer any question I had. I felt that I was truly "cared for" and not just treated. That made a world of difference to me throughout this process.
I has some swelling post-op which caused me some pain and vomiting. (This was just my body reacting to the surgery and had nothing to do with the excellent procedure performed by Dr. Schrope) Regardless, I was visited at least twice each day in the hospital by Dr. Schrope and/or her staff, and many days, it was more than that. They went above and beyond the call of duty to make me feel better.
I simply cannot say enough great and wonderful things about Dr. Schrope.

I was very comfortable with her from our first meeting. I told her I was scared, but that this was something I needed to do. She said she totally understood my fear, and that she would be really surprised if I wasn't.My impression has only gotten better.
Dr. Schrope and her staff have been so great
in answering ALL my many questions, and
quieting my fears.I would recomend anyone who is thinking about surgery, to go see her.
Her aftercare program is very thorough, and
personal. She went over all the risks and benefits of this surgery. I would rate her
outstanding. Her surgical competence and bedside manner are great.I'm sorr, but I could find no fault with the way I was treated by the Dr. and her staff.

My first impression of Dr. Schrope was that she was very young, but after spending time with her and discussing my surgery I was very impressed. I work for a surgeon and I knew a lot about the surgery before my appointment, so I had high expectations. Dr. Schrope was very professional and made me feel very comfortable. Every in the office was excellent and even when I was very nervous about having to wait for an appointment, they were able to get me in sooner due to a cancelation. The nutritionist and nurse explained everything and I feel that I am ready to go.
