Dr. Helbling, the bariatric staff and St. Alexius hospital crew were and are absolutely amazing. They made the process as seamless and effortless as they could for approval. Surgery was a breeze and Dr. Helbling is a skilled surgeon. He has a great bed side manner and has always been willing to answer any questions that I have and has not once made me feel stupid about any concerns. I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr Helbing and the rest of people at St Alexius and Mid Dakota Clinic have been wonderful through this entire process. I have ZERO complaints and would recommend him to anyone.
The surgeon, bariatric program staff, and hospital staff were all excellent. Surgery and post-op were a breeze, no problems whatsoever. I had the perfect surgery experience. Great aftercare. I would rate an 11 out of 10. Great bedside manner.
Dr Helbling is a very skilled talented surgeon. From my first visit with him 7 months before my surgery I trusted him. He knew I needed to get my mom through her open heart surgery first. I was fairly nervous the two weeks before the surgery, when he came into see me right before the surgery I just felt a peace and knew I was in good hands. Aftercare is very important to him. He stresses that this is a tool to use. He always takes time with me when I see him for office visits.
His staff was and is very caring and will take time with you. Jean the bariatric coordinator for prime care is wonderful and Jessica the coordinator from the hospital is wonderful also.
Dr Helbling was the best surgeon for me.
