Bruce Deckinga Bariatric Surgeon M.D.

I don't really have a whole bunch to say about Dr. Deckinga, but he is nice, informative and one good thing, knowledgable..:) He answered all of my questions (I had a ton) and he never seemed to be impatient with me. His office staff is very supportive and helpful. One thing I think he could do is maybe have a diet to follow after the surgery. He leaves it all up to you. I think that might be a little scary....?

he is right to the point and i really like that and nice too cause i can joke with him i hate stuffy dr.his staff is great i can call at any time and they will take the time and talk let you know more later

I had my first visit with Dr. Deckinga on 1/31/2001. He was very informative, and I felt very comfortable with him. He explained all the pro's and con's of havig this sugery. And informed me that I was one of his lighter patients But will still do the sugery. His staff was very kind and helpfull.

First impression is that he is curt and to the point. I think that he is extremely honest about complications, and almost seems as if he wants to talk you out of it. Office staff is very nice. Brenda (his RN) is extremely informative and supportive.

Dr. Deckinga's office was very very informative and helpful. It helped that I was prepared with several questions of my own. They did not hesitate to describe the procedure in great detail. What I would wake to in the recovery room, what tubes, why and where. His nurse Brenda was very, very helpful as well. Dr. Deckinga himself was very pleasant. Not leaving anything to the imagination and made sure I understood everything he said. He was very honest and informative.
