I did my home work about weight loss surgery. I already had Doctors in Life bridge. I came across Doctor Christina Li . I read the reviews, all positive. The very first appointment with Kim the nutrientist was great. I can tell that they were just as serious as I was about losing weight. Then I finally met Doctor Li. She broke down everything that would happen before and after surgery! I was like what a crew. Everyone was very patient. Much love to Kim. She was always available by phone or email. The other patients that you will encounter at the meetings are awesome, telling each other our own stories. After surgery the crew was just as awesome. Nurse practitioner Parsons is great! She took the time to listen about everything. This is the best place to go for your important life changing surgery!

Initial Visit- 9/19/17- Surgery Date- 4/16/18- Northwest Hospital (Life Bridge)- Randallstown, MD.
The first point of contact was from the pleasant Shanae (Front Desk/MA. Dietician- Kim and Surgeon- Dr. Christina Li were so warm and welcoming. I am VERY picky about who I choose to care for my health. Let me tell you something, the staff works like a FINE TUNED MACHINE. From Kim always being available and willing to help me set a realistic nutritional plans to giving me many options for vitamin resources as well as Nutrition classes to Janell (MA) making sure my Ins matters were intact, to Phyllis (Pre Op) making sure I had all of my required documentation and setting my Surgery appt so quickly, I was so pleased.
Dr. Christina Li's personality is so beautiful. She blew my mind prior to surgery. I have tattoos on my stomach and she examined them and said she may be able to insert the incisions within my tattoo, and guess what?? After the surgery was done, I could barely see the incisions. OMG (I'm so lucky). I can't wait until they heal.
Before and After surgery, Dr. Li's whole team while at Northwest Hospital were exceptional.
1 week after surgery 4/24/18- Post Surgery- 1st point of contact, I saw the pleasant Shanae and met with Dr. Christina Li to examine and track my progress. She had her beautiful smile as I've seen with each visit. Things are going very well for me with no regrets.

Thank you Dr.Li for all of your encouraging words and for the positive energy your staff brings every day! :)

I'm almost 3 years post-op and Dr. Li and her entire staff were wonderful from the beginning. I would highly recommend them. Dr. Li is energetic and enthusiastic about helping her patients make life-long changes and having the sleeve was the tool for me to do it. I feel fantastic and hope to stay this way for many more years to come!

Dr. Li performed my RNY Gastric Bypass surgery on February 23, 2015. The care I received from Dr. Li and her entire team was and continues to be exemplary. The pre-surgical education program provided by Dr. Li and her team, especially Charlotte Dunlap ( Nutritionist ) was very thorough and provided answers to every question I had in a professional and caring manor. I felt totally prepared and confident that I had made the right decision to have Dr. Li perform my gastric bypass surgery. The surgery was performed at NorthWest Hospital where I received the best of care for two days. From the day of admission to the day of discharge Dr. Li and her team were supportive and compassionate, making every effort to assure a positive outcome. It has been 18 months since my surgery and I am very happy with my progress. I am most pleased with the fact that since the surgery I no longer require medication to control my blood pressure, cholesterol or blood sugar levels. All are within normal limits. Thank you so much Dr. Li and team.

I had a Bypass with Dr. Christina Li on 5/26/16 and I can’t even begin to tell you how happy I was and still am with Dr. Li and her Team! They were all very supportive and anything I needed, I knew I could just call and speak with someone immediately. Dr.Li cares for her patients with so much love and the fact that she gives you a hug after every visit! It’s just amazing. I tried to have the courage to go through with this surgery for many years, but as soon as I met Dr. Li I knew I had found the right doctor. My first appointment with her was already on a positive note and I was given all the necessary steps to complete all of my pre-op exams.

Overall, she’s kind and extremely knowledgeable on her profession! I would recommend Dr. Li to anyone who is looking to undergo any type of Gastric surgery.

Amazing Physician and all of the staff. From walking through the doors for your first visit to post-surgery, you are treated with individual care and concern. Whether Dr. Li, the front desk staff, the dedicated RN and dietitian answer your questions and concerns promptly, with follow-up.

My surgery was 07/24/15 and I know I made both a wise and informed decision to have Dr. Li perform my surgery and would highly recommend her and her staff to anyone exploring bariatric surgery as a tool to facilitate weight loss ( I chose a vertical sleeve).

Additionally, I was blown away by the staff and care for my over-night stay at NorthWest hospital.

A "great" doctor? Dr Li, hands down.
A competent Minimally Invasive Surgeon, focusing on patient care.

If I had to describe Dr Li, I would say that she is empathetic, caring, and has amazing bedside manners (she's a hugger).

Dr. Li has all round knowledge of her field and enough about the adjacent ones so she is able to provide me with personalized healthcare. Dr Li was always extremely honest with me. Informing me that surgery is not the end all be all, I must put the work in and be consistent in all my efforts for LIFE!

Now that I've had my surgery (July 17, 2015), I am beyond pleased that I choose Dr Li. Following Dr Li's do's and don'ts to a tee, I have lost 10 lbs in a week, walking and drinking with ease.

It is also helpful that Dr Li's entire staff is just as pleasant as she.

I first heard about Dr. Li when she preformed non-weight loss surgery on my mom. My mom was so impressed with her that she then had the VSG by her. A year after my mom's surgery I had enough and called for my own appointment with Dr. Li. Thorough doesn't even begin to describe the work up she puts together. Her office is incredibly organized and helpful. So many times I like a physician only to find their office staff incompetent or rude. Not the case here!!

Dr. Li really listens and advocates for her patient. She understood from the begging that my ultimate goal for WLS was to improve my fertility and achieve a healthy pregnancy. I was pushing for a sleeve, but based on my history and the studies out there she suggested bypass at the time. Knowing I was hesitant about the RNY she personally called me a week later citing different studies she looked up regarding my case and fertility.

Upon going through rigorous and thorough testing it was discovered that I had another condition that prohibited me from having the VSG. I was devastated and scared by this new diagnosis. She took the time to comfort me and to call another specialist right then and there to discuss my case while I was in her office. A plan was devised and it was decided that I would be a perfect candidate for the RNY.

I had my surgery on 1/16/12 and I was amazed out how great I felt immediately after the surgery. I was up walking the halls that night. I was home the next evening and off all pain meds 2 days after that. I had my gallbladder out by a different surgeon in 2010 and I felt like I had been hit by a train for weeks afterwards. My husband was floored when a week after surgery I told him I went to the gym.

Even after surgery Dr. Li continues to focus on my end goal of achieving a healthy pregnancy. She has promised to support me in any way she can and will work closely with my OB when the time arises to ensure that me and my baby receive adequate nutrition.

I really can not say enough positive things about Dr. Li and her staff.

From the time I received my surgery date, friends and family asked, "Are you nervous yet?" I would smile and respond, "No!I'm excited!" I had no reason to be nervous. I wasn't nervous because I met with Dr. Li and/or her staff monthly and followed everything I was told to do.

I attended an informational session in December 2014 where Dr. Li spoke. At the session I was convinced I was ready and there was no turning back. Seven months, July 7, 2015 I was at Sinai Hospital getting my gastric bypass surgery by Dr. Li. Dr. Li greeted me before the surgery and gave me a hug (she's a hugger) and asked me if I were ready. I in returned asked if she was ready. We both laughed and hours later I was in the recovery room waking up.

Dr. Li did such a phenomenal job and with determination on my part, I was released from the hospital a day later. I was in very little pain but I pushed myself to get up and walk. I followed up with Dr. Li just 2 days ago and she was pleased the way I am recovering. Of course she gave a hug (remember she's a hugger) which was very encouraging.

Today makes 1 week since I had my gastric bypass surgery and I feel great! (Already 10 lbs down)

I said all this to say, if you are looking for a weight lost surgeon, Dr Li is a great choice. I have really done my research on her. (I previously had the lab band by a different doctor that was not sympathetic) Therefore I was leary about selecting another doctor. I wanted to be well informed on their success rates and bed side manners.

Dr. Li shared her data with me from the very beginning which made me very comfortable. She did not imposed her views on me, however she did push me to research all procedures available through information she provided. Which was very helpful.

Dr. Li is caring, informative, and honest. You can not go wrong IF you are truly commitment to the process. Remember, Dr Li informs and performs surgery. We do not get to take her home...it's up to you.
