'He was very straight foward and to the point. I have only meet with him once. Office staff is very nice from what i have sseen so far. The only thing i did not like is that he was only there to talk about the negative things about the surgery that he will be perfoming

Dr. MacColl is very knowledgeable in this field, the information he passed onto me was a tremendous help on my decision to have this surgery. I had my surgery on Oct 17th with no problems. Dr. MacColl saw me everyday that I was in the hospital checking on my status.

While I have nothing negative to say about my surgery or my stay in the hospital, I did wish for Dr. MacColl to visit longer to make sure all my questions were answered and for me to feel a little bit more at ease.

Since the surgery and my post op visits, he has been able to answer all my questions.

My first impression of both Dr. MacColl and Dr. Debeltz was very good. They were both very friendly and willing to answer questions. They wanted to make sure I got all the information they could provide for me. They are wonderful surgeons... very competent and caring. I just grew more confident with my choice to have these two surgeons perform my surgery as time passed. At times, I was a little confused by the entire process, but the Program Coordinator, Sue, was very helpful in guiding me along. There isn't anything that I dislike about these doctors. It is a good idea, I believe, to prepare a list of questions and concerns before your meetings with them to ensure that everything you are wondering about is addressed. The aftercare program seems to be a good one, with follow-up visits with the dietician and the surgeons scheduled for the next year. There are also support group meetings to attend twice a month. The risks of the surgery were stated very openly and honestly, but the confidence in the voice of the surgeon(s) helped to alleviate fears. I believe that Dr. MacColl and Dr. Debeltz are both very surgically competent and both are very friendly and easy to talk to. Dr. MacColl was the one who followed me when I was in the hospital, and he has been very supportive since my surgery.

He seems to be nice.I got to talk to him about 45 mins and all went well.He gave me all the pros and cons .And he is in to lots of after care programs. He has a group going 2x a month.
The barietic Dept is very small ,2 nurse's and 2 doctors that do other surgeries as well.I just wanted to say evey time I phone they know who I am .Every thime I go to the support meetings they {the nures } remember my name as soon as I walked in.They run the support group.
I so far only saw the surgeon once and he was very nice I am so please with the nurseing staff that after this is over I am going to send them some flowers and a thank you note for all there caring.I think overall I think I and my family Doctor pick the right place and people to do this surgery on me.
