Colleen Kennedy Bariatric Surgeon MD, FACS, FASMBS

I am giving two stars strictly just for Dr. Kennedy. She was very professional and took the time to meet with me at my first pre-op appointment. She was willing to listen and answer every question I have which is awesome because most surgeons will rush you out of the room. However, I'm taking away three stars because the staff here is unprofessional and could care less about their patients and there is only one person who is the coordinator (Lilo) and she is the one who is supposed to schedule you for all your pre-op requirements and then schedule your surgery. Well, good luck with that! I'm not sure was Lilo does daily but she takes a very long time to return calls, she always tries to rush you off the phone, always scatterbrained and doesn't care about you or your needs. It's unfortunate because Dr. Kennedy is probably a great surgeon and this seems to be a good practice but there is one person holding the cards and she is the one who will hold you back so in my opinion it's not worth the stress moving forward with this practice. I worked at a weight loss clinic for four years in another city and had a position very similar to hers. If I treated any patients the way she does especially self pay patients I would have been fired a long time ago. I've decided to have surgery with another Dallas surgeon and everything has gone so smooth that I wish I would have never wasted my time with Dr. Kennedy's office. My advice for anyone looking for the perfect surgeon is do a lot of research before you move forward and once you think you've found the one if their staff sucks you'll be dealing with that forever so it's best to find someone else.

Dr. Kennedy was great! Very professional and knowledgeable. Encouraging but not unrealistic. She explained everything thoroughly and her office staff gave very good information and support.

Surgery went well. Her skills are great and I had no bad effects. She was brief during hospital visits but supporting staff visited more and explained everything thoroughly and answered all questions.

Dr. Colleen Kennedy is AMAZING!! She is an excellant surgeon and puts forth great effort to take very good care of her patients. I traveled 2 hours from East Texas to see Dr. Kennedy for lap band surgery and have continued to go to her Rockwall office for follow-up visits. I have gotten aweswome results from the lap band. I had minimal post-op pain and scarring. I can't say enough what a terrific doctor Colleen Kennedy is. My surgery was June of 2009 and she has been there for me every step of the way.

For the first appointment, she was very thorough and helpful. She took the time to answer all of my questions. Her office staff in Rockwall is phenomenal! They are all incredibly helpful with any issues that I have had. She seems to be on the highly conservative side from other things that I have read, but I am fine with that as long as it equates to NO COMPLICATIONS! So far, my follow-up care has been excellent as well.

I had a revision gastric by-pass. Dr. Kennedy was beyond a doctor for me. She was there for every step, good and bad. She wiped away my tears and shared the highs and lows. I cannot emphasize how wonderful she is. I never have felt rushed with her. I had some complications and had to stay in the hospital 9 weeks. Most of the complications had to do with my previous surgery and I had severe malopsorption, I am out and doing very well. I recommend her to all!!!

I first saw Dr. Kennedy over a year ago to have lap band surgery and recently had a revision to the sleeve. I was nervous and she instantly put me at ease. I have never felt rushed in the office visits and she will take time to answer any questions I have. She is very knowledgable about all the bariatric procedures, the pros and the cons. I have used her for 3 different surgeries and her bedside manner is amazing. Very warm and caring and if you have a problem come up she is there to make you comfortable. She is a very caring Doctor and she wants her patients to succeed. I wouldn't go to anyone else.

Dr. Kennedy Is AMAZING!!! She just talks to you like you are her only patient. She cares about us! She just started her own practice, so things are in a little bit of disarray, like her nurses not knowing what medicine to call in when i had a rash from the incision glue. But I wouldn't switch Doctors for anything! She sat and talked to me for an hour about all the risks, the procedure, the aftercare, and her, and me! I guess the only downside is she is in Dallas and not Arlington.

Dr.Kennedy has been helping me for over a year now and she is WONDERFUL!! Dr.Kennedy was my default dr since my surgeon had left the practice but, I thank God everyday for Dr.Kennedy! Dr.Kennedy has held my hand and walked me through what has been a very trying year and I couldn't be more greatful. I would follow Dr.Kennedy anywhere even if it was out of state. She is very honest, helpful and well, just AWESOME!! I would recommend her 120%!!

Dr. Kennedy has saved my life and I have a great relationship with her. She did my RNY gastric bypass and recent gallbladder removal. I recommend her to everyone!
