I recomend DR Bacal to everyone,He made me feel comfortable and i trusted him with my life on that surgery table. He was with me the whole step and so was hes nurse Terry. They are awesome people. There office staff was real nice and friendly. They were good about answering any of my questions and calling to remind me if i had a appointment. The future patients should know that they can count on Dr bacal and Terry for anything and they are always there even when they go on vacation there still on call and will always call you back the same day or even with in the hour. They told me the risks of surgery,The dont hide anything they tell you the truth and show you how to go through this big change in your life.Dont matter what they always engourage aftercare program. There bedside manner was good, and there surgical competence was good. When i was in the hospital they came and called all the time..And made sure i was healing good and being taking care 0f.

At the very first seminar where I met Dr. Bacal I could tell he really cared about you as a person not as a $ sign. After selecting Dr.Bacal as my surgeon I was very confident that he knew what he was talking about and after using him for 2 surgeries I knew I made the right decision. The nurse co-ordinator was extremely helpful throughout the entire process. She (Terry Marentette) works with you not only getting all the paperwork and approvals but she speaks from experience she had gastric by-pass surgery herself over 9 years ago and can really relate to all of their patients. She holds all of the pre-op classes and guides you through all the testing, and even is the smiling face you see very early in the morning of your surgery. I really can't think of any negative experiences I have had with either Dr.Bacal or Terry. I would have to say the most important thing you will need to know is trust him he knows what he's talking about and he's very prompt you will usually never have to wait on him and if you do it's usually an emergency and the staff will offer to reschedule you or he will adjust his office time to see you. Aftercare is one of the most important factors with this kind of surgery and he is not an exception, you need to seem him on a regular basis and he is known to call you to see where you are and check on how you're doing. As with any surgery we are all told of the risks for me it was the anti clotting drug that gave me the most trouble I had hemotomas for 3 months following my last surgery and he checked on them regularly even offering to remove the blood clot, this wasn't necessary as they went away by themselves. He says he would rather I have a few bumps than have a serious embolism and die .... no kidding .......it was a small price to pay. I researched him before I used him as my surgeon and I couldn't have been more impressed, not only is he intelligent but very caring and personable. I don't know how you can rate someone that you trusted your ife in his hands for not only once but twice . Of course you want your Dr. to have all the compitence in his work and you will not be disappointed with Dr. Bacal .

My impression of Dr. Bacal was a good one when I met him in the seminar. The office staff is great. However I was told that I did not qualify at first because they thought I had another insurance company. Once they realized that I had BCBSM almost 2 months later they did call and let me know that I meet their qualifications for surgery. In a way the delay turned out better becasue I had a trip scheduled for disney for the begining of Aug and that would had been hectic with the diet. Dr. Bacal did explain why this surgery is less risk than the rny due to my religious beliefs. I was not going to have the rny anyways. I would rate Dr. Bacal at an 100% also his nurse gets back to me via email right a way if I have any questions.

I can`t say enough good things about Dr. Bacal. His surgical competence and bedside manner are great. I would recommend him to anyone wanting to have weight loss surgery. Dr. Bacal was nice and cordial when i met him. I do continue to be impressed with him. I have become comfortable around him. But unfortunately he is moving away. I am not looking forward to meeting a new surgeon but that`s life. I do wish him and his family the best in there new home town. Sincerely, Sherry

I felt that he was straight forward & very inerested in helping me on this journey. The office staff also are very helpful. They have a very complete care plan for pre-op & post op with assistance available with a phone call. I feel this is a very complete program & offers any help you could need or want. I would rate the programs & physcians top notch.

LIKED DR. BACAL RIGHT OFF. HE WAS RIGHT TO THE POINT, AND VERY DIRECT WITH THE WHOLE PROCEDURE. IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE SURGERY, HE WAS THERE AT MY SIDE AND NEVER ONCE DID I FEEL I HAD BEEN LEFT ALONE. DURING MY HOSPITAL STAY, HE CHECKED ON ME CONSTANTLY. THE STAFF IN HIS OFFICE IS WONDERFUL, NICE, POLITE AND VERY CONSIDERATE.
THE BILL......AND SOME OF THE STAFF AT THE HOSPITAL

IF I EVER NEED SURGERY AGAIN, I WILL ONLY SETTLE FOR DR. BACAL TO PERFORM IT.

AS MUCH, IF NOT MORE THEN THE PRE-OP
ABSOLUTELY, IF YOU CAN'T FOLLOW HIS PROGRAM YOU WILL NOT SUCEED.
EVERY RISK, ALL THE WAY TO THE WORST SITUATION
A MAN WHOM TRULY CARES AND PEOPLE AND THEIR QUALITY OF LIFE

BOTH, YOU NEED THE EMOTIONAL SUPPORT AS WELL AS A PROESSIONAL
