David C. Dyslin Bariatric Surgeon M.D., F.A.C.S.

I had VSG and Laparoscopic cholecystectomy done with Dr Dyslin at the Mansfield Methodist Medical Center. Dr Dyslin and his team have been amazing. His nurse, Melissa, is very supportive and knowledgeable; the preop nurse, Fran, was very helpful and answered all of my (many) questions; and the office staff were always friendly and made me feel comfortable. I cannot say enough good things about Dr Dyslin. He was highly recommended to me and I now know why! He made me feel comfortable and informed throughout the entire process and I have been very confident that I am in good hands every step of the way. He uses hand-picked Anesthesiologists for his bariatric procedures, so I was also confident that there would not be any issues there. The surgery and hospital stay went smoothly. The hospital was also a great choice - it is not listed anywhere for review, but the staff and nurses were all wonderful, supportive, and caring. Many had stories of family or friends who had WLS in the past/recently (and some with personal stories) that they shared with me for encouragement and to provide a sense of "this is normal" to my anxiety. Overall, I had an amazing experience and would recommend Dr Dyslin and MMMC to anyone considering WLS or needing general surgery!

Dr. Dyslin was very compassionate and understanding throughout the entire process of my bariatric surgery. He made sure that I understood what I needed to do to be successful, and that I was comfortable with all decisions made regarding my care. His staff was great, and assisted me with all of the insurance issues and education. It is rare to find a doctor who takes the time to really understand his patients. I would reccomend him to anyone in the area considering surgery! He is a GREAT doctor!

The best Dr. All around and I have been to quite a few...Dr. Dyslin is very compassionate. I like that he doesn't try to rush you out of his office and makes sure all of your questions are answered before you leave..I have to say if anyone is looking to have weighloss surgery done Dr. Dyslin is the Dr. You would want. Sincerely a very happy patient.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Dyslin and the whole team. They were fantastic. I had my surgery and only minimal pain upon coming out of surgery. I never had to take any extra pain meds when I got home. I felt great and still do. He does everything to minimize any discomfort ahead of time. I would definitely recommend him to anyone in the DFW area for any type of surgery. My experience was way better than I ever could have hoped for.

Dr. David Dyslin is a terrific surgeon. He not only cares deeply about his patients but really listens to them. You are fully informed every step of your journey and your are also backed up with not just him, but Melissa his nurse and his whole office. He also provides a monthly support group led by Nurse Jackie who is a wls patient and a nutritionist and other professionals. Dr D does expect you to lose weight before your surgery and that you WILL be compliant. He follows your progress closely and gets back to you asap which is not true of a lot of Docs! Although I have had just a few hiccups along the way I acheived my goal of 170 lbs lost in 1.5 years and went from a size 26/28 dress to a 4/6!! I am geartly pleased!!

Dr David Dyslin was the BEST!!! I am sure he saved my life. Him and his staff led me through the process and explained every detail to me about what would happen, when it would happen, and also if there were issues what we could do. It was a really wonderful experience. I highly reccomned Dr David Dyslin and Dr. Lyons from Arlington Surgical Associated very highly.
