My husband and I went to Dr. Fallang's information session today. He is very informative and thorough. I also thought he was very personable and took time with people individually. I think I will be very happy with him as our surgeon!!

I met w/ Dr. Fallang on Dec. 9th. The info session is sooo informative. Moreso than the one for Dr. Maguire (who I had originally intended to use). I don't think Dr. Fallang left a stone unturned. I had a whole list of questions and either he or his PA Troy answered every one of them...even the one about my tattoo. So far so good, I'm glad I picked him. He tells it like it is and the staff is super.

My first impression of Dr. Fallang was that he was very knowledgeable, informative, and honest about WLS. As I made further progress through all the necessary steps leading up to my surgery, I became even more convinced that I was in good hands. The office staff are absolutely amazing. They are extremely personable, caring, and really work with you on an individual basis from getting approval from your insurance to post-op follow up care. I would like to have had more contact with the surgeon himself as opposed to P.A.'s and other staff members, but everyone really was phenomenal.

Aftercare is very important to Dr. Fallang and his staff at The Surgical Weight Loss Center. There is no lack of reminders from mailings to phone calls to ensure that you follow proper aftercare procedures.

Information about and risks of surgery were discussed and spelled out in detail at Dr. Fallangs invaluable class that he requires all potential patients to attend before serious consultation and scheduling. The class is approximately 4 hours in length and covers just about any question or risk there is concerning WLS.

Overall, I am very pleased with the service and care I received from Dr. Fallang and his staff.

Surgical competence is of the utmost importance to me above all else, but of course a good bedside manner is desirable. I found both in Dr. Fallang.

I met Dr. Fallang at a group information session. He seemed warm, funny, and dedicated to helping obese lose weight. He believes in what he does and has done this type of surgery for many years. He has researched what types of weight loss surgery there are available and was able to explain each one and why he does the one he does. I never changed my opinion of him, just got to know him better and trusted him more and more. His office staff is kind, helpful, and very supportive. He has his own facility and has trained the staff there to care for in hospital patients the way he thinks it should be done.

After meeting initially with Dr. Fallang, I was impressed from the get-go. After going through WLS with him, I am even more so enamored by him. He is a true professional and has thousands of patients as experience and definately has what you call "surgeon's hands". The nurses had trouble finding my veins to start the IV (apprently I left them at home) and an hour later Dr. Fallang came in to see what was going on and made the decision right then and there to start a central line. He came in and took charge and demanded what needed to be done. My family and myself (even though I had to go through the pain of central line, which hurts like a MO-FO) were very impressed with his take charge attitude.

Dr. Fallang knows he's good. His statistics speak for themself. I wouldn't say he's cocky, but he know's he's good and he's very confident. I decided within an hour of meeting him that he was the one I wanted cutting me open. I had gone to another hospital in Columbus for their educational forum. It was 2 hours long, I didn't meet the surgeon and was a waste of time. Dr. Fallang does his own educational forums and with the help of his office staff does an excellent job with WLS patients.

I would give Dr. Fallang an A over and over. He's top notch.

I was *extremely* impressed with Dr. Fallang at the information session I attended. He was very thorough, and wanted to make everyone present aware of the history of obesity, gentic links, history of WLS, and other types of surgeries out there.

His staff is wonderful. Judy, the receptionist, and Nadine, the RN were totally willing to answer to any and all questions I had, no matter how many times I called! Troy and Kevin, the PA's were great too.

Overall, I am very happy with my choice and my experience.

I have only been to a few group meeting with Dr. Fallang. So far what I have seen I really like. He was very informative at the information session.
I know its not what I think but it gives me some reassurance. My mom had her surgery done by Dr. Fallang and said if I was going to have it dont it should be done by him and that if it was someone else she wouldn't allow me to have the surgery. So she has a lot a faith in him.

My first impression was that he is a very dedicated doctor. I still feel the same way. His office staff are very friendly and always willing to help no matter what. Make one feel like you have know them for a long time and are best friends.
There is nothing to not like about Dr Fallang. He has a very nice hard back book that he gives his patients that fully describes the aftercare he prefers for his patients.
He described the risks of the surgery just as they are with no candy coating.
Overall I would rate him as a 10.
I think surgical competence is more important than bedside manner but think they both have their place when carring for a patient.
These statements are my own personal opinion. Someone else may feel all together different. Of course I have not had my surgery yet and may feel different in the future.
