OUTSTANDING!!!!... This is probably one word (well, one that I can acutally spell) that sums up what my first impression of
Dr. Fallang was. I met him at one of his information seminars and he was just unbelievable. He has WONDERFUL personality and the moment I saw him, I believe that God filled me with a sense of peace, letting me know that (if insurance approves)I'm going to be in good hands. Dr. Fallang's staff has been more than helpful thus far, especially Susan. I've only met Dr. Fallang once and only spoke with his staff over the phone. If anything changes, I'll keep you all posted. However, I believe that my first impression is probably going to be a consistant feeling toward the Dr. and his staff. I don't have any thing negative to say...(and I hope I don't) yet but IF I had to pick one thing, it would definalty be the waiting list to have surgery. By the way, this statement is based on my personal opinion and I'm sure others opinion may vary.

My impression of Dr.Fallang is that he is a very knowledgable surgeon who knows what he is doing I feel very comfortable knowing he is my surgeon. He was very upfront about the surgwery, the risks, and thebenefits. He lets you know that surgery is not a cure for obesity, but a tool to acchieve optimal health. The information session was five hours long and so informative Dr.Fallang took time afterwards to answer any individual questions. His staff was equally as nice and professional they do everything they can to make this a smooth journey.

I HAVENT SPENT MUCH TIME WITH MY SURGEON, I ONLY MET HIM AT THE SEMINAR THAT I ATTENDED IN SEPTEMBER. I HAVE MY PRE-OP TESTING ON FEBRUARY 14TH, AND WILL GET TO BECOME MORE ACQUAINTED WITH HIM THEN. I LIKE A DR WITH A GOOD BEDSIDE MANNER, BUT IF I HAVE TO CHOOSE BETWEEN THAT AND THE SURGICAL COMPETENCE ILL CHOOSE THE LATTER, BUT BOTH WOULD BE GREAT!!. I CAN LET YOU KNOW MORE ABOUT WHAT I THINK OF HIM AFTER MY PRE OP APPOINTMENT.

I would recommend Dr. Fallang with all my heart! He is wonderful and extremely easy to talk with!
The office staff is very helpful. I have called with several questions and got quick, knowledgable answers.

Dr. Fallang placed alot of emphasize on knowledge of what risks are involved.
Both his surgical competence and bedside manner are wonderful!

I finally met Dr. Fallang at his information session on January 10. Even though I knew most of what he talked about due to research, it was still good to hear directly from the surgeon. What I liked most about him was his enthusiasm for his procedure and the results of his patients. My 17 year old daughter went with me and now her fears are greatly reduced. She said she was going so she could tell him not to let me die. She didn't. I think she felt that he wouldn't. I have many contacts with the staff over the past two months and they have always been very nice and helpful. You are assigned a specific person in the office to work with you but whenever I call and my contact person isn't there, whoever answers the phone is always very helpful and eager to do so. Even though Dr. Fallang's session lasted over 4 and a half hours, it really did go fast. I will update after my first office visit and again after surgery.

Went to information meeting. Haven't as yet met him one:one. Staff is ok, but had to wait a month before they submitted my paperwork and didn't let me know what was missing... It's important to follow-up, follow-up, follow-up.

Dr. David Fallang is very handsome and very approachable. I expected him to have a mustache since he has one in his picture, but he doesn't. I met him at his 5 hour info session. It was well worth it and the time just flew by. He gave a thorough presentation of the procedure, alternatives, risks, benefits, and expectations. He stayed afterwards to talk to anyone who had any questions and he answered all of mine. I do think that the Q & A session with the group should have been much longer. It would help to hear questions that other people have.

He explained all of the risks involved including one that he's never experienced in his surgeries. He told everyone that some of us would have complications simply because this is not a perfect surgery. He also explained that the benefits outweigh the risks and I sincerely believe that. He has done 1200 surgeries and it was a satisfied patient and friend that recommended him to me.

I'm not completely familiar with the aftercare program. But I do know that it consists of 2 weeks on clear liquids, a week on full liquids, and I believe 2 weeks on solid foods. He requires check ups at 2 weeks (by the nurses), then 6 weeks, 3 months, 6 months, a year, and every year after that. He strongly recommends some sort of exercise. Patients are helped to walk around the same day, after the surgery. He regularly visits his patients to check up on them.

I'm only acquainted with two women of his office staff and they both seem helpful and considerate.

Because I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses, I do not accept blood transfusions. He seemed to want to have the option open, but I will not waiver on that.

Overall, I'm excited to have him as my surgeon.

My doctor, is Dr. Fallong in Dayton, Ohio.
I was and still am very comfortable with him, his staff, and the procedure. I was very nervous on my pre-visit, my his behaior put my mind at ease. I felt very confident with him and in his ability. he office staff are the friendliest, warmest people. They do not make you feel ashamed because you are overweight, but excepted. I would highyly recommend him to anyone I can. He scheduled a group seccion early on before surgery and discussed anythng you ever wanted to know and more about gastric surgery. He stresses aftercare, and the iportance of taking it slow. Excercise is stressed, most importantly walking, and the intake of electrolytes. Water is also a key issue especially after 3 weeks post. would rate him the highest I could, he surgical ability, plus his ability to put you at ease score perfectly.
