I wasn`t nervous about my surgery. I had spoken with my surgen on the phone a few months before the surgery and he explained everything and sounded really nice on the phone. Then my surgery date at the clinic (the plastic surgery clinic in Mississauga, ON), everyone was wonderful, the nurses were super nice, I was preped for surgery, met with Dr. Mumford and could ask any questions I wanted too, also meet with the anestheia and he was great too, explained everything that he was going to do. After in recovery the nurse I had was great she explained what was happening after and that I should just sleep and rest. After surgery and after resting for a bit Dr. Mumford came and seen me again and told me that surgery went well and that I didnt have a hernia and what to expect with recovery. Then I was discharged, nurses were great with explaining everything that I needed, and explained it all to my mom too as she was taking care of me. After about 3 days Dr. Mumford called me at the hotel and wondered how things were going, just making sure. Then when I was finally home in SK, about 2 weeks later the clinic called and I spoke with one the nurses and we talked about how I was doing and what I was eating. Overall everyone was really great and so helpful in answering all my questions, either by email or phone.

My surgeon was very kind. He explained things very clearly and was supportive with followup calls and answers to all of my questions. Also, my scars are very thin and will soon be invisible.rnrnHis nurse Tina was so helpful and really put me at ease pre-surgery. She gave me all the information I needed and was very professional.rnrnThe anesthesiologist was excellent, he told me right off the bat that there were no secrets and he would explain everything to me, which he did. rnrnAlthough, the nurse I had in the recovery room was not so great, nor was she very kind or helpful. I thought she could have been much more patient with my delirious self. She didn't even tell me her name.rnrn

No real comments thus far, haven't met him. Pleasant on the phone, perhaps a little pushy when it came to setting a date.

Dr. Mumford is a very kind man. He spent more than ample time with my daughter and myself at the consult. He made me feel at ease right away. The staff was also excellent. Overall, I had a very postive experience. I will be seeing him on Mar.13th for my follup appt.

My first impression of Dr. Mumford was \"wow, this guy really cares\"...My second was \"wow, this guy is easy on the eyes, lol\". Then I found out that Dr. Mumford was one of the head of surgery at Trillium hospital, and that he had performed surgery on my best friends husband a year earlier. He is very friendly and very funny.rnrnHe made me feel like I was his only patient and only concern. I really enjoyed my first appointment. He put me at ease. I felt really good about myself and my decision to do the lao-band when I left his office.rnrnHis staff is over the top. They are freindly and helpful. They return calls, and follow up. rnrnI very much recommend Dr. Mumford and his team.

Dr. Mumford was a Great surgeon. He was kind patient and answered all questions. He called me at home the next day to make sure all was ok. I know if I have any further concerns he will be there.

Dr Mumford is a great surgeon. My first impression of him was calming, he put me at ease right away. Over time my opinion hasn't changed, he is a very nice person. The office staff are very friendly and helpful. The nurses are great. Whenever I have needed to phone after I have returned home with any questions, the girls are always very eager to handle my questions. The only downfall I could think of is that, I wish they contacted you more after the surgery to check on your progression, instead of you having to contact them. It would give it that special touch on their part. I know they are very busy, so it would probably be an impossible thing to do. If I had to rate Dr Mumford on a scale of 1 to 10, it would be a 9.

I was shocked at the care I received from Dr. Mumford and his staff. It was beyond amazing. I first met Dr. Mumford the day before my surgery and he was an extremely kind man. He is one of the few doctors that I know of who truly cares for his patients, and treated me with the utmost kindness and compassion. I had taken my mother with me for support and she agreed that he was just great. I have nothing negative to say about him.rnrnIf you are worried about aftercare, all your questions will be answered and you are free to contact them at any time. The aftercare is excellent, and they will help get you on track as to where you should be, and what is needed from you and from them. The other surgeon in the office, Dr. Chris Coburn, called me on a Sunday afternoon out of the blue to see how I was doing and to talk to me about my first fill. He is also an extremely kind and compassionate man. He was easy to get ahold of when questions arose, and he was very patient.rnrnAll of the risks of surgery and the aftercare were explained in a manner that was easy to understand. The communication was outstanding. Overall, everything was outstanding. Both the surgeons are very competent and seem to be passionate about what they do. They both have excellent bedside manners, and Dr. Mumford's surgical competence is top notch. While Dr. Coburn did not do my surgery, he did my first fill and his competence is also top notch.rnrnThe only negative thing that I experienced was after I had my surgery, there was a member of the staff who left and there seemed to be some confusion with communication. It seems that this has been handled though, and my communications with the office have been great.rn
