Dr Suh, his entire staff and ALL the nurses at Inland Valley Regional Medical Center, Bariatric center, are fantastic!! Dr Suh is a bit quiet, but friendly and approachable. He thoroughly goes over the process, the after life, etc. His seminar gave my fiance the opportunity to hear the pros and cons about the surgery and I believe Dr Suh is very realistic and passionate about helping people overcome obesity! He constantly talks about the life changes and it will not work if you don't make it work. He also promotes that if you can lose the weight on your own, without surgery, you should as there are always risks to surgery!
His entire staff has the utmost respect for him and I was told over and over again from the hospital staff that he is the best in the industry-many patients that didn't go through him end up coming to him for revisions due to issues from their previous dr.

He requires a seminar, a pre op class and a 2 hour support group (which I thought, OK, just need to get through 2 hours of this and be done). Each of these classes were beyond my expectations! They were so informative, entertaining and helpful to me and my fiance. THe support group ended up being fantastic and I have every intention of going back each month!

I honestly have NOTHING negative to say about any of his staff or my dr! He answered all my questions I had usually before I asked them. He is to the point, which I personally LOVE! I have called the office many times to "bug" them about the status of my surgery and they are always beyond professional and understanding to my excitement! They always ask how I'm doing, if I'm excited and to keep up the pre op program/diet and how I'm doing on that and to call if I need ANYTHING!
The nurses in the hospital were way beyond anything I'd ever expect! I've had 10 other surgeries to date and have dealt with many post op nurses in my life! There's always 1 thats rude, impatient, etc and there were NO NURSES like this at this hospital. They were all very supportive and thankful to ME for my pleasant demeanor, considering there's pain involved in surgery....can you believe they were thankful to ME??? I thanked them OFTEN for being so awesome and quick to respond to any of my needs...to walk down the halls with me numerous times and help me get up to use the restroom!

I HIGHLY recommend Dr Suh to anyone!! I've had 3 other friends that have had surgery with him and we all feel the same. If you follow his diet, pre op, and life changes with exercise and eating properly, you can't fail!!

Dr Suh is a good surgeon he works very hard and is concerned about his patients. He is straight forward not a lot of fluff if you have questions have them written down he will answer. Will go over your options for surgery I am 9 months post op have had a positive experience. He also offers once a month support groups in different areas which I would recommend taking the time to attend.

My RNY surgery was 10 years ago.
I researched and met MANY Doctors before I found Dr. Suh. Within a few short minutes I knew I had found MY surgeon. A quiet and humble Man, though he is well known and quite renowned in his field.
He put me at ease and answered all of my many questions, patiently.
He agreed to take me on as his patient. He had done 1000's of surgeries and lectures by the time I found him, but I believe I was by far his largest patient at that point.
He remembers his patients, he gives out his personal cell number for emergencies and also has a 24 hr nurse line.
His protocols are quite strict, but that's fine with me. His patients have long-term success rates.
If I had to do it all over again, I would. My only regret is that I didn't find him sooner!
Dr. Suh you are my forever hero!

Dr Suh staff are amazing and friendly, Dr Suh is wonderful at what he does, but he is all business so have your questions ready for him and he will answer all of them, I originally had plans to get the VSG but after my last visit w/ Dr Suh (1 week before surgery) I decided the RNY would be the best surgery for me. (I was set on my VSG and after asking millions of questions I change surgeries) I had the RNY on Sept 20,2011. I only experience pain when I first woke up but after First dose of pain med i was fine through out my entire stay, Having 2 offices made it easy to set appointment and Everyone in the office was super nice and and informative (I had lots of questions and sometime forgot to ask when I was in the office and every time I called with my multiply question there was always a friendly voice on the other end, Over All I would recommend anyone to Dr Suh in a heartbeat!

Overall, I am satisfied with my experience. Some of the office staff were extremely helpful through my process. Dr. Suh is definitely all business. You must be prepared with your questions and he is happy to answer them but he's not the type to hold your hand. He seems very knowledgeable and experienced. I think that's more important than bedside manner when it comes to getting cut open. 6 months after my VSG I have lost 115 pounds and I'm very happy. Dr. Suh and his staff pushed for me to have the RNY originally but he did allow me to make my own decision after informing me of the different possible outcomes. He was very open with me about his complication rates etc. which I was kind of surprised about but I really appreciated. I would have liked a more strict and detailed meal plan and for a nutritionist or dietician to be provided at the facility but it wasn't a deal breaker. Let me also add that I paged Dr. Suh on New Year's Eve and 10:30 pm with an emergency and he called back within 10 minutes and even though I could hear that he was busy, he still answered all of my questions and seemed concerned. I wasn't expecting that. Overall, I wish the followup was better with Dr. Suh, but I think he's a great surgeon. It just seems like once you have surgery and your week and month follow up, you're kind of on your own. I'd still recommend him though because my progress is awesome and I think I have a great sleeve and I didn't have any complications.

I had my laproscopic Gastric bypass Surgery in June of 2008. This was my 9th surgery and the ony one where I experienced "NO PAIN". I immediately stopped snoring and I couldn't believe that I had even had surgery at first. Dr. Suh and his staff were very csring and professional. I lost a toltal of 120 s and I have been able to maintain this loss within a range of 10 pounds for the last four years. Thank You Dr. Suh, you changed my life!

Dr. Suh performed my RNY gastric bypass in April 2008. I am almost 4 years post op. Would I do it again? Yes, only with Dr. Suh as my surgeon! I have gone from 242 preop and am easily maintaining 140 by keeping up with high protein daily. Zero complications and zero regrets.
