Dr. Roye is my hero.rnrnHe is extremely professional, and may seem a bit aloof at first - but give him a smile and he warms right up. He handled my surgery like it was nothing - and I had a 14 inch incision with 56 staples and a 8x8 piece of mesh.rnrnof all the abdominal surgery i've had [6 so far] this was the least painful recovery. that makes him a god in my eyes. LOLrnrnhe's the kind of surgeon who will do what is in your best interest - whether you like it or not. i don't have one ounce of trepidation knowing that i am under his care. rnrnrn

dr roye was very nice at first when i met him i thought he was kind and sincere....so i went through with my surgery he did get me through the surgery but from day one i have been very sick so at about 8 weeks into the ordeal i had very bad burning in throat and stomach so i went to local er they sent me to rhode island and dr roye 8 hours later after going home told me it was not surgical and nothing he could do for me and sent me home well here it is 3 weeks later spent 8 days in local hospital low potassium could of caused heart attack and took all kinds of medicines and still no answer i wish he would help me so i can eat again and get on with my life i called his office yesterday and waited all day and not even one call back its like he doesnt even care about my situation i started out at 506lbs im under 400lbs i cant even move im so weak from no nutrition ....i wanted to go to a rehab or something maybe they could help me but nobody has any answers for me i just feel like im fading fast and i hope dr roye ends up helping me in the end...and when i was in the er in rhode island i told him i dont want to end up in the er again and i said it was a lot of work for the fire dept to get me out of the house again because i live on a hill and im to weak to walk down the stairs he said he did not care i said you can pay for the fire dept bill he told me that he would never pay a dime and walked out on me in the er while i was still crying and the er dr came in and said he was sorry for the way dr roye treated me ....dr roye if you ever read this i thought you would have a little human compassion i would like for you to see how it is to burn 24 hours a day not being able to eat and watch your family watch you cry 24 hours a day...maybe someday you will understand how much grief you have caused me ...now this is only my opion i know you all love him but my expereience has not been positive

I met Dr. Roye last month and I was very impressed with his personality. He was very easy to talk to and he explained the procedure completely. He was very honest about the complications and then he answered all of my questions. I left his office very happy that I choose him as my surgeon. He submitted my information to Blue Cross for approval and that was completed within three weeks.

IN DOING A GREAT DEAL OF RESEARCH I WANTED TO MEET DR. ROYE AND HI IS GREAT VERY SINCERE, KIND AND VERY DIRECT. AND PUT UP WITH ALL MY QUESTIONS AND I WAS VERY COMFORTABLE WITH MY SURGERY WHICH WENT WELL AND I CANT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT HIM AND HIS STAFF. JUST A MILLION THANKS ELAINE M rn EAST PROVIDENCE R.I.

Dr Roye has turned out to be very polite his staff has been very helpful Dr Roye tells you right out he is going to take very good care of you i was very surprised i had a problem called the office and he himself called me back not the staff saw me the next day i never had that happen before have always had to go through someone else so in my opinion he is great with both the surgery and bedside manner

My first impression of Dr. Roye was that he was very professional. I have only met him once but I found him to be straight forward and honest. I like him. rn

I really like Dr. Roye. He is honest and up front about every aspect of the surgery. You leave there knowing you are well informed about the procedure. He makes sure you know the in's and out's of the surgery and beyond. He made me feel very comfortable and confident in my decision. He is very easy to work with and willing to answer any question no matter how small it may be....

I initially liked him. He was optimistic& helpful.
Post surgically I developed serious complications. Since then I have changed docs. I have been home from the hospital only 2 weeks & am having a difficult time adjusting. Currently, my /the doc's. focus is on my post surgical care( vs. my weight)
Dr. G.Dean Roye, took care of me . He was kind, compassionate & most importantly HONEST. He has cared for me since Aug. of 04. It has been a LONG haul. (for both of us)
This Oct.12th. he "opened me up "again to remove 2 large hernias... I was extremely afraid. He took excellent care of me surgically as well as emotionally. He also "fixed"/removed
my excess skin...There was a.great deal of it...The procedure went great, but post-op was VERY painful... Again, the Doc. was great. His office staff Helen, the N.P. & Annette his sec. were always good to me too. They are wonderful people. I am now about 160lbs. lighter... Imagine? If I can do this so can you... If in RI ...Go to Dr. Roye...You may have to wait, but he's worth.
