Dr. Barry Walter Bariatric Surgeon M.D., F.A.C.S.

I REALLY THINK HIS IS VERY WELL INFROMED AND A VERY SUPPORTIVE DR. HE ALSO SEEMS TO HAVE ALL THE ANSWERS AND VERY COMFRONTING TO THE NEEDS AND CONCERNS THAT I MIGHT HAVE. I REALLY FEEL VERY SECURE WITH HIM DOING MY SURGERY. HIS STAFF WORKS BY THE BOOKS AND WANTS TO MAKE SURE THAT THEY COVER ALL BASES AND ALSO HAS YOU DO THE FOLLOW UP WITH THE INSURANCE CO. TO MAKE SURE THEY GET PAID. I HAVEN'T FOUND ANYTHING YET THAT I DIDN'T LIKE ABOUT THEM. JUST MAKE SURE THAT HIS STAFF HAS ALL THE INFORMATION THEY NEED OR YOU MIGHT HAVE PROBLEMS LATER. HE DID ADDRESS ALL THE RISKS OF THE SURGERY AND GAVE ME THE %, TOO. OVERALL I THINK HE IS A WONDERFUL DOCTOR.

Dr. Barry Walter is a very nice and patient doctor. He seemed to have empathy for those seeking WLS and he has a smile that touches your soft side. He did not rush through our time and answered my questions and my husbands. My second visit I had read and research more about Lap RNY and had a list of questions. He addressed each question and concern. His staff is very nice, professional and responsive so far.

He was soft-spoken and polite. My opinion about him has not changed. The office staff is very friendly, interested and helpful. Service is prompt. The only thing I didn't like was that they didn't remember to give me a prescription before surgery and I had to run down there to pick it up. They didn't seem to have a "checklist" for the surgery details and I had to keep asking, "aren't I supposed to do this?"

Future patients should know that he and Dr. Brenner did a great job on my surgery. I didn't have any problems.

He emphasizes aftercare, but not as much as others. I went to another surgeon's support group meeting and got a lot of advice that I wouldn't have gotten otherwise.

He was very open with the possible complications and risks and discussed them with me. I rate him excellent overall because I had no problems. I don't know much about the bedside manner. He's quiet and reserved. But I found his surgical competence to be excellent.

They have been wonderful! The office staff is so pleasant and helpful. Dr. Walter is very thorough. He explained everything carefully. He was never rushed or hurried and he answered all of my questions. He addressed all the pro/cons of the surgery. I really appreciated his openness.
