My first impression was "WOW He is cute and nice"! Now at seven months out I consider him the perfect surgeon. He is wonderful. He is a perfectionist and thats exactly what I want in a surgeon!!! His office staff is great. I actually merged my support group "BelieveNme" with one started by one of his office staff. Dr.F as his patients fondly refer to him did all the right things as far as emphasizing aftercare such as nutritionalist, long term care, emotional issues etc. I rate him a 50 on a scale of 1-10!

My first impression of Dr.Facundus was that he was happy, upbeat, kind and a caring individual. My impression of him remains the same and I can add that his manner is genuine. He never seemed to be in any doubt of the success of my surgery and that gave me of course the encouragement and confidence I needed to proceed with this lifelong change. His staff has always and still is very informative and helpful as well as very kind. Dr.Facundus explained to me that he could help me with the surgery and weight loss but that the longevity of my success would fall back on me. The fact that I am only 1 week post op and have a long way to go before I can actually say anything about the aftercare I can say that from the other patients that he has that I have heard nothing but great things and of course I have seen great testimonies. At this point I would rate Dr.Facundus and staff as exceptional and would recommend them highly and believe at this time he has done over 300 of these surgeries. His surgical competence and bedside manner is outstanding.
My personal experience/opinion of Dr.Facudus and staff is rated highly.

My first impression was great. I had heard alot of good things about him and I was very confident that I would be well taken care of.
His office and staff was very helpful and friendly.
There wasn't anything that I didn't like about him.
Dr. Facundus is very easy to talk to and his nurse that consults you has had this surgery also.
He greatly emphasizes aftercare. He referred me to a nutritionist. He does have a structured aftercare program. I will soon be an RN and I work in surgery, so I knew alot of the risk before I ever went in there and of course I have researched on the net. I would rate him a 10 on a scale of 1-10. I have only seen him one time so far, but he was great. I think that surgical competence and bedside manner are both great. It eases alot of fears that I may have about the surgery.

I wanted Dr. Facundis from the start, but when I tried to make an appointment, I was told that he does not perform the surgery on men. I was disappointed, but I searched for a new surgeon. I never quite felt comfortable with the other surgeons I considered, but decided on one after a group orientation. I had a consult planned and was looking forward to it. Recently, I met a patient and friend of Dr. Facundus and was informed that he has recently begun performing WLS on men. I am very exited about his pre-op nutrition education program and his record of few if any leaks and NO deaths! I now have to wait 18 days longer for my consultation, but I am sure it will be worth it! 2/28... can't wait. <3/3>.. Met with Dr. Facundis, seems like a great guy. Although he has performed the surgery over 300 times, all with great success, I am one of the first men on which he has performed the surgery. I guess that makes me special. I already have complete confidence in him and his staff was wonderful.

I was very nervous about meeting Dr. Facundus.
From the moment I walked in his office I
felt like something was wrong. First, he did
not have a reception area of his own and he
shared an office with another physician. My
first impression was, is this guy really
stable or was he just moving around to
different locations? After meeting him I
was comforted to know this was a legitimate
business. Dr. Facundus is a very
personal doctor. He kinda gets into your
personal space. I mean face to face. I
recommend him for your bariatric surgery.

I met Dr. Facundus for the first time about 1 week ago. I am in the process of waiting for my insurance approval. With my high BMI I was told that there should not be any problems getting approval for my surgery. The doctor was very nice and understanding. I have also heard a alot of good things about him from other patients. I am trying not to get too excited yet (just in case). So I am just trying to wait patiently. His staff was very personable and friendly. I really enjoyed meeting them. He does stress the fact that he wants you to join a support group. He emphasized how important he felt this was. I have not yet had a chance to go to a meeting yet, but I do plan to start.

Dr. Facundus is kind and also very caring. He takes the time to make sure you understand all aspects of the surgery, both good and bad, but at the same time you feel as if he truly understands why you want this procedure.
He told me "I have always loved being a surgeon, but this procedure is special... you see, I can actually heal diabetes in some people and I have the opportunity to see all my patients become better, right in front of my eyes.... it's wonderful."
