A nice, caring man. Impressed with his staff and his bedside mannor. Felt very safe with this doctor.

I felt that he might be a little too conservative, wanting me to be below 50 BMI before he would operate. In the end, he did operate on me with a BMI of 52. I'm thankful for his working with me.

Dont have a lot of time to follow the guidelines...all I can say about Dr. Facundus is he saved my life and improved the remainder of my life by 1000%....He is the only WLS in the country I would recommend..I have had zero problems from day one.

I liked my doctor from the first visit. He and his staff are very helpful and informative. He seems to be a very caring doctor. He is easy to talk to and was able to answer all my questions in a way I could understand. He and the staff at Crestwood Medical Center took very good care of me during my hospital stay. He really emphasizes the importance of aftercare and following his structured program for optimum success.
I would highly recommend him to anyone!

My experience with Dr. Facundus has been nothing but positive. The help offered by his office and the Bariatric Wellness Institute to get insurance approval was priceless. I think he is an excellent surgeon also. The aftercare program is also very supportive. As a nurse and a patient I highly recommend him for RNY surgery. He's also very easy on the eyes and charming to boot ! I do not have anything negative to say about my experience with Dr. Facundus.

My first impression of Dr. Facundus was that he knew what he was doing. He put me at ease and helped make me feel as though I'd made the right decision for me. Over time, I'd hear people say his bedside manner was lacking -- I didn't notice. The man does an amazing job and his staff is second to none. Simply do what the good doctor orders, and all will go smoothly! Aftercare is a very important factor for Dr. Facundus. It's the key to success! He was very open about the risks of the surgery, yet none came about. Overall, he's one of the best in the nation -- the best overall in my book. When it comes down to it, let the staff "baby" me -- let my doctor focus on being good at what he does. Thank GOD for Dr. Facundus!

Dr. Facundus was the best. He was so caring after my surgery and even went as far as doing an EGD on me when I was having trouble swallowing just to make sure that everything was alright. He said that he saw something on my esophagus while doing my surgery. Everything came out ok but I thought that was very nice of him to do it himself. His staff is ALWAYS very friendly and helpful every time I have been in the office. Overall I think Dr. Facundus and his staff are the BEST!! I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone.

I had faith in him as a surgeon and still do, but his practice and his bedside manner are not up to snuff. His practice has improved but the office is still not nearly as professional as they should be. His bedside manner is almost non-existant. He made me feel like a failure when he THOUGHT i missed my pre-surgery weightloss goal. He never introduced himself to my wife in pre-op, my wife didnt know him from the x-ray tech. After losing over 150 lbs he again made me feel like a failure because I still had 20-30 lbs still to lose.
His office then charged me a missed appt fee for an appt that I do not remember ever setting up and would not have had any intention of going to after being treated the way I was treated.

I first met Dr. Facundus in Oct of 2004 and I was really not sure how to take him since I was a smoker. He told me to quit and that he would not operate until I did. I tried to cheat and say I had quit, but he busted me with a nicotine test which postponed my surgery. I finally had my surgery in Jan of 2005 and I understand why Dr. Facundus does not want to operate on a smoker, that shows that he is a caring doctor. He also discovered some other health problems I was unaware of which could have potentially been fatal. I owe Dr. F a great deal of gratitude for everything he has done for me. His staff was wonderful during the whole experience, and I have to agree his looks don't hurt when visiting the office. I would give Dr. F a 10 because his bedside manner is one that may seem stern but he is more concerned with a safe surgery than being friends.

This man is execellent at what he does. He is confident and practical. He is very approachable nd esay to ask any question. I wanted someone that had done many many many f thee and Dr. Facundus has a great system and process worked out. His staff is execellent no nonsense! Complance is the name of the game. If you follow this Doctors plan you will be healthy and feel great! No dislikes at all.

Some would say Dr. Facundus is aloof and cocky. I never found him that way at all. He knows what he is doing does it well and is brutally honest with you. He has great skill both in the surgery and beside manner. Crestwod did a fine job. I feel great and I am healthier that ever before!!

He is very nice and doesn't make you feel stupid nor does he make you feel like you are wasting his time. He answered all of my questions. He came to check on me after surgery and later that night and came in before I was discharged. Everyone in his office is very nice and Melinda is always helpful with any questions I have. I like the fact we have to see the Nutritionist about every 3 months. It keeps us on track and if we have questions they can answer them. I highly recomend him. He's worth the drive!
