Elliot Goodman Bariatric Surgeon M.D.

My impression of Dr. Goodman was that he is a caring physician. Dr. G. is very knowledgeable and is able to answer any of your questions regarding this or related procedures. My impression of him did not or will not change over time. In fact, when I met Dr.Goodman, his office was located in New Jersey, now he is in The Bronx. And with the many transitions he's encountered, he has always been wonderful. He welcomes your calls. He has answered my pages within minutes on every occasion. At this writing I am 75 pounds lighter in 4 months. Also, have gone from a size 26 to a size 16. He is competent and has a wonderful accent.

This surgery requires the physician's dedication as well as the patient's. There are changes that will be made nutritionally, and the behavior modication is most welcome in improving this wonderful life and the grace GOD has given us. At first I thought Dr. Goodman was too eager, but I quickly realized that he is quite sincere about the fact that he cares about what is best for his patients. I haven't personally met with him yet, I will let you know what I think after that happens. His assistant "Nydia" is very friendly but very busy. Sometimes it is hard to get a return phone call because she is so busy but when she does call you back she spends all the necessary time with you that you need. I don't really know anything else yet.

MY FIRST IMPRESSION OF HIM WAS THAT HE IS A GREAT MAN.I FELT VERY RELAXED AND COMFORTABLE WITH HIM.HE WAS NOT INTIMADATING HE IS VERY DOWN TO EARTH.HE HAS A WONDERFUL STAFF VERY EAGER TO HELP.I FELT LIKE THEY WERE PART OF MY PEER GROUP.IM TRUSTING HIM WITH MY LIFE AND I KNOW EVERYTHING WILL BE FINE.i must also say one month later that his staff especially Nydia has been the most helpful to me .

Dr. Goodman is the best. Trust me, dealing with me isn't easy and he was so caring and patient and I know I picked the best surgeon around. I was a revision and asked lots of questions and he patiently listened and explained everything to me ... quite a few times. He really cares about his patients. I had my surgery on 10/18 and I am so glad he was my surgeon.

SURGERY WENT GREAT THANKS TO THE HANDS OF MY SURGEON. Not one problem and I am doing great. I am following a pureed and liquid diets and I have lost 14lbs this far. The staples are out and I am back to walking and feeling the sunshine on my face. Would do it all over in a blink of an eye. Go with the best surgeon here in NY. I would highly recomend him to all. HE IS GREAT.

Well I met with Dr. Goodman on 9/16 and I finally have a date. I am scheduled to have my surgery on 10/25 and I am really happy about it. One thing I can say about Dr. Goodman is that he is an angel sent from heaven. He is very patient, kind, understanding and supportive. When you feel like you have no where to turn or you think that no-one is there to listen, He is always there and always has time to answer even the smallest and funniest question. He really shows that he cares and that is important. You must feel comfortable with your doctor for things to work out right and with him - The most I can say is "He is the best of the best".

Dr. G is great! Answers all questions, and returns phone calls and emails as soon as possible, but we all know that, don't we? It took a while, but I'm so glad I finally found a competent, caring surgeon.
