Eric Yang Bariatric Surgeon M.D., F.A.C.S.

Let me start by saying Dr Yang was the second surgeon I visited concerning the surgery. The first one, made me feel huge, fat and nasty. That being obese was entirely my fault and that HE as a DR would be doing me a favor by performing surgery on me, if HE decided I was worthy enough. It was the most humiliating experence of my life. As if I wasn't depresses enough, that sure did it. So when I went to see DR Yang, well, I was expecting the same type of treatment. Boy was I WRONG!! Dr Yang listened to every word I had to say. He didn't judge me or make me feel like I was less then a human. He was straight forward, sometimes bluntly so, but that was just what I needed and wanted. His staff was and is top notch. I was given a new starting point in my life. For that, I will always be thankful to Dr Yang. In the end, everything happens for a reason and I guess my experience with the first surgeon was ment to be so that I would find Dr Yang and he could be the one to help me start the beginning of my new journey of life.

my first impression of dr. Yang was that he was totally professional and quite brilliant. He was very articulate and precise, and i remember thinking , this is a surgeon i want on my side! Everyone in the office was very helpful and nice. He is very adamant about aftercare, which is reassuring. My overall rating of Dr. Yang and the whole WLS has been very possitive!!! My opinion is that surgical competence is paramount but the icing on the cake is a good bedside manner!

Had my informatoinal meeting and initial consult with Dr. Yang. He is very nice but very quiet. I believe he really wants what is best for the patient because he is very thorough and ordering lots of extra tests and specialty visits. The office staff are very nice. Lee his nurse is a wonderful person and the program coordinator is great too. I was also impressed that he is willing to work with me as a patient. I explained that I am not comfortable with outside staples to close the incision and he said he can do stitches if I would like. I will update more when the surgery is scheduled.

Had My Consult with Dr. Yang on March 4, 2003,Seemed to be attentive, Direct, answered all questions i had, very open and honest atmosphere...He expressed how this Surgery was a team effort, that we had to work together. That was very impressive, 1st impression is very positive. Office staff seems very helpful, Dr. Yang believes in pre-and post care, he stated if we start some good habits before the surgery then it's most likely we will continue those habits after surgery. I'll add more after my second visit.
