Fernando Bonanni, Jr. Bariatric Surgeon MD, MBA, FACS, FASMBS

Dr. Bonanni is a great surgeon. He is very informative and lets you know exactly what your getting into. His team is also a big plus. The process was very smooth and surgery was just as smooth. I was barely in any pain and I'm recovering very quickly. If you are in the area and considering bariatric surgery go speak with Dr. Bonanni, you wont be disapointed.

Dr. Bonanni, is a wonderful doctor!!! He is very caring and is very thoughtful of your needs!! If you have any concerns or problems he is their to help you easy your worries. I feel that he is the best doctor around!! My husband is now seeing him and I have told other friends about how wonderful he is!!!

Dr. Bonanni is very caring, helpful and a skilled surgeon. Dr. Bonanni revised my band to a sleeve on April 12th. The staff was great, the hospital was great and I’m doing great.

I was impressed by how friendly Dr. Bonanni was the first time I met him. He instantly put me at ease and was very easy to talk to. He was patient and explained everything, answered all my questions and always took the time to make sure I understood everything and was comfortable with everything. His office staff is very polite and compassionate as well as supportive.

He has an amazing aftercare program in which he and his staff stay involved. It is not ok you hit your 2 year mark and you are on your own. They offer lifetime aftercare. I can't believe how easy the process went as well as how smoothly the surgery itself had gone. Everything he had said was dead on. There was no surprises or problems. He also has a great bed side manner. He is not in and out. He took the time to talk and joke around and actually be a person as well as the surgeon. I was, and am very impressed with him and his staff.

I can't think of one negative thing to say about him or his staff. They are amazing.. :)

Doctor Bonanni is phenomenal! I have been blessed to have found him for this major undertaking. From the first day I met him, he took as much time as I needed to make sure that I understood him and the procedure. The morning of my surgery I was scared stiff! I had actually considered not showing up. But when I met with him that morning he stayed with me for what seemed like forever! He answered all of my questions, and even stayed to make sure that I was calm and sure about my decision before they took me back to prep. Since then I have had a few minor problems and each time, it was Dr. B himself who spoke to me to reassure me that all was well. I can not thank my PCP for recommending Dr. Bonanni! I have already recommended him to a couple of friends and family that are looking into this.

I thought he was great on paper, then I met him....even better!

He said I will become like his sister (that's how much he will be involved).

Dr. B is straight up, his staff is fabulous, everytime I call or go in, they are just so nice and make you feel welcome.

They have a structured after care plan with plenty of emphasis on walking, walking, walking.

Dr. Bonanni is a wonderfully caring and compassionate doctor. I was experiencing a fair amount of pain after surgery, and I was very apprehensive about going home without tolerating even much water into my new stomach. I was able to get a day's hospital stay extension thanks to him, which gave me a little more time to adjust.

He is also a very good educator. I've found his talks at support group very informative, and in layman's language so that everyone can understand his talking points. He always leaves time for questions and makes himself available afterwards for discussion. My Abington experience was wonderful all around.

My first impression of Dr. Bonanni was that he was knowledgeable and compassionate. That impression was solidified last week when I had my surgery. I couldn't ask for a better surgeon. He made me and my family feel comfortable, told us all what to expect, and was there every step of the way. There is nothing I don't like about him! One of the things that struck me was that he took the time to explain the benefits and drawbacks of each surgery. He suggested the one that he thought would most benefit me, but didn't push me in that direction. His office staff is also wonderful. I had a concern this morning (Sunday) and called his service. Dr. Bonanni himself called me back within minutes and made sure I had his cell number to keep him updated. I don't recall ever having a doctor that did that. I can honestly say that both is surgical competence and bedside manner are first rate!

I recently have weight loss surgery on Sept 8, 2010. The surgery was very complicated for Dr. Bonanni to do, but, he came through and was even able to do my surgery without cutting me. I am very impressed with Dr. Bonanni he had a rough job to do and did it perfectly. I am currently home and feeling alot better at this time. I would without even thinking about it give Dr Bonanni's name to anyone that is interested in bariatic surgery!!!
