I had my surgery with Dr. Bayron on 11/30/11. He was FANTASTIC, as is his staff. He is very concerned about patient care and bedside manner. The office staff got me approved with no trouble at all. FMC is very nice, they have upgraded their interior. The bariatric patient rooms are all private and look like hotel rooms, with wood floors, flatscreen TV, couch.

He did a fantastic job during surgery. I had the vertical sleeve gastrectomy and was out of bed and walking around the next day without pain. After the first day I didn't even need a Tylenol for pain control.

Great experience, highly recommended.

Wonderful doctor!!!!!! Explained all procedures and follow up was great. I had to have a prior to surgery procudre and that was done with such finesse I was not even aware they were done. Dr. Bayron is definitely on my list of \"go to doctors\"!rnThe office staff at FMC are all uber pros and great with info and expaining things. I have never met a greater group of pros in a long time! I am 5 days post surgery, in no pain or discomfort and all seems to be going really well.

From the beginning he was very knowledgeable, and willing to work with my schedule limitations. The staff is VERY friendly, made me feel at home right away, and like I was part of some 'club'! He and his staff had a well-developed program for easing a patient from one stage to the next, and he even wrote up a many-paged guide to post-op eating, vitamins, symptoms to watch for, how it feels when you've overeaten in those first days, etc. I felt well-equipped to deal with those first uncertain days.rn He took great care to make sure I understood the pros and cons of each type of gastric surgery, how each one applied to me personally, and what risks were involved with each. Then he let me make my own decision based on that input.rn I was happy with both his surgical competence and his bedside manner, so I couldn't rate one more than the other.

My first impression of my surgeon was the best. He showed he care right from the start and and my impression only got stronger. The office staff was also good, they directed any issueds to Dr. Bayron asap. And he would get back to me with in a very short time frame. I would like to tell future patients is that you would never have a doctor that so caring about his patients. He treats you like a person and not a case and a person that just need to be treated. I had my surgury on Aug 23, 2006 and had some complication from the surgury. He was there every step of the way. I would highly recommend this Doctor. He has changed my life and outlook on life it self. My husband and I are so grateful to have Dr. Bayron as my surgeon. He is the best.... If I had to rate the Dr. Bayron from 1 - 10 and 10 being the highest. I would rate him 10+++++.

My first impression of Dr. Fernando E. Bayron in Dr. Tomasello's office was professionalism, even though he was dressed in his surgery outfit at the initial seminar. He comes highly recommended and is proficient in lapband and RNY. He is bilinqual speaks with an accent, but I could understand him well. He is about 40 years old. He comes across as personable and warm. When he learned that I had nutcracker esophagus, he said he would have to do the RNY instead of the lapband. His office culled the paperwork together all at once, and insurance approval happened within 3 days. He visited me each day post op and came by during his vacation at my appointment with the nurse to remove the drain. Since I was referred by another patient, my trust and expectation level was high. When I developed a small fever post op 99.7, the surgeon did return my call and assured me that tylenol suppositories were O.K. and liquid tylenol with sorbitol, sucralose, and sucrose were not perceived as sugar and O.K. to take. The initial experience with the reception and staff seemed too business-like, and maybe harsh and I felt like a number. As we pressed on and followed the course they laid out, the atmosphere became more friendly and more accepting.
