Francisco Contreras Bariatric Surgeon M.D.

First of all there are no words I can use that can express how truly great full I am to have had dr Contreras as my WLS Dr. Or how wonderful of a human being he is.
I had my VSG with him at the Oasis Of Hope Hospital in TJ Mexico.
He is very humble, compassionate, thorough, a perfectionist, and is very friendly/personable with a good sense of humour.
I was very nervous leading up to my surgery I had no idea what to expect, I am from Canada so I was a little out of my element as well. But as soon as I had my first face to face meet with him I was completely calm and confident in him.
He was very patient and answered all of my questions and didn’t once appear to be annoyed or rushed.
He explained everything in great detail before the surgery, he checked in on me daily and was there to see me off when I was being discharged. I honestly felt like I was his only patient the entire time I was there.
After my return home he has remained in touch with me over the phone and texting l, checking in on me to see how I’m doing if I’ve not been in touch or answering any questions or concerns I’ve had through the recovery process and even after being fully healed and he responds very quickly within a few hours but usually within half an hour I will have a response aside from the time difference and when he’s actually in surgery.
He is an absolutely AMAZING Dr/Surgeon who literally goes above and beyond for his patients, even the after care for those who are from out of country is impeccable.
I am recovered now and on solid foods, I have lost 24# so far and I’m only 2 months out.
I would highly recommend Dr F. Contreras for WLS to ANYONE and EVERYONE who would ask me about it.

Also the staff at the Oasis of Hope Hospital were top knotch. Super polite, friendly, professional and made the entire experience so much more pleasant. I was honestly treated better in Mexico than I have EVER been treated by any medical professional here in Canada.
