I am so happy that I chose Dr. Johnson as my surgeon. He is a wonderful man and an amazing surgeon. He truly has a passion for what he does, and believes in the success of it. It is so obvious that he truly cares about the work he does and helping people, I never once got the impression that it's about the money. He is very straight to the point, but you can be assured that you are in the best care out there with him. He takes time to listen to concerns and explains every little detail to you. He makes himself available to his patients. I definately would rate him as an AAA+ surgeon and person. I love the entire clinic and how it functions and mostly the availability of all the staff. Dr. Johnson is great in both his surgical competence and his bedside manner. His attention to detail was easily seen by my sutures. I would HIGHLY recommend him.

I thought he was very friendly and a straight forward guy. The nurses were great and very supportive and encouraging. They really stressed following their guidelines. They are a center of excellence for WLS and if I didn't want complications to follow the rules and no cheating.

My first impression of Dr Johnson is this guy is like somebody's grandpa. I mean that in a good way. He took the time to sit and listen to my concerns, then explained everything very thoroughly. This was my first impression. It hasn't changed. He seems to be a genuinely kind, caring DR that knows his craft. I haven't had the need to see him to many times so my impression really hasn't changed but his staff tells me at every visit he is available if I need or want to see him. Thats good to know.rnrnHis office staff is who I deal with the most and really they are the best. Sandy is the nurse I see on a regular basis and she tells me like it is. She likes what she does and its apparent in her attitude toward her patients. if I am not following the program or need to make changes in the way I'm doing or not doing something she WILL let me know. She is also quick with the praises as well. I its possible to enjoy a visit to a clinic this is one place you might really enjoy. rnrnI cant think of anything that would be a negative about Dr Johnson. He stresses the fact that this surgery is a tool only and that after care and follow up visits are very important. Right now I finished my six month appointment and still need to see the staff every three months. Its good to know this isn't an assembly line. He explained the risks before hand. And took the time to answer my questions. I didn't go into this blind. There is tons of information out there on the internet so I did my research and naturally had questions. So overall I was pretty happy with Dr Johnson and his staff. rnrnIn my opinion surgical competence is the most important thing, that is, until the surgery is over. After that its his and his staffs bedside manner that kicks in. And they do kick. Surgery of any kind is miserable but they all make it a much better experience. I am really glad I did this. My life has changed so much for the better.

I met Dr. Johnson for the first time 1-19-09, my first impression of him was very positive. Very concerned, informative, answered all my questions and explained all aspects of pre and post op. His staff of nurses and dieticians are great and very friendly also. I do not have any complaints.

my first impresion of him was that he is a really nice dr.and he is very friendly.treats everyone with respect and is down to earth.my impression did change over time.he is even nicer.the office where he is,they are wonderful there.there is NOTHING that i dont like about him or the office.he is awesome in after care.everyone gets his pager number incase need to call,so dont have to go through the after hours people, like some clinics.he is very structered for aftercare program.which is good, its needed.he addressed the risks so could understand them in 'our' terms and not in all dr terms.he is an awesome surgeon!im so happy i choose him.the surgical competnce and bedside manners were both great.he came and seen me before surgery.asked me how i was doing, etc.talked to my mom, answered the questions she had.his bedside manners were grat.he came and seen me alot when i was in the hospital.he was concerned about me.im very pleased.
