I would describe the staff as extremely busy and very patient with everyone no matter what. rnrnThe staff is very prepared and going through the process was very smooth. My only complaint is that I had to wait too long to get my first appt with the doctor.rnrnDr. Garth was very upfront about the risks of surgery and I was given a large packet on my first visit of everything pertaining to the surgery. rnrnAt this time I have only met with my doctor one time so I really cannot give you much yet on him. I will have to do that after surgery.rnrnWell my surgery was done on the 2nd of September and everything went great. Dr. Garth was fantastic as well as the hospital and staff. I go see him on the 11th for my 10 day post op.rnrn

He was very good with me in understanding what goes on and what to expect. When i got home after surgery i was having some problems and the staff for after hours were really quick in responding back also dr.garth called me back on monday to see how i was doing. Hes quick to take care of ur problems and needs . I would recomend him and fellow drs of the methodist weight loss clinic in a heartbeat

Dr. Garth is very helpful. He answered all my questions and I never felt rushed. He was available after surgery to answer questions and even called me to see how I was doing.rnrnI had a few minor problems with his front office. They need some training in answering the phone and being helpful.rnrnI felt very well taken care of by Dr. Garth, his PA and nurse.rnrn

My first impression of Dr. Davis is that he is very professional, knowledgeable, and patient and thorough when answering questions. Aftercare is greatly emphasized. Methodist hospital has a Weight Loss Clinic which centralized everything you need - Nutritionist, Psychologist, Support Groups, Additional Support, etc. The materials given are extremely thorough.

I had my lapband surgery in Hawaii but I have since moved to Houston Texas and have found a new surgeon. Dr. Davis is going to do my lapband removal and my revision to bypass. I was very excited to meet him and I have had a great exerience when going into the office. I am not a fan of one of the PAs but I discussed that with Dr. Davis and he is okay with me requesting to see him when I come in. I am ready for the next part of this journey to begin for me and I know i am in great hands.

My first impression of Dr. G was on the tv show \"Big Medicine\". At the time I had been contemplating surgery for seven years and after seeing the episode where he refused to operate on someone. Even though Dr. G was threatened with being reported to higher authorities, I appreciated the integrity it took to stand firm and for the health of the patient and his safety. I also liked the fact that he and his father work so closely together. His office staff, for the most part have been very accomodating. I have noticed that, with the publicity from the tv show, they have been swamped and the office staff doesn't seem to be as easy-going as they were when I first visited the office in July, 2007. Aftercare program is extremely organized and structured. I receive regular e-mails regarding the new and upcoming classes for post-WLS patients. Overall, I would definitely refer him to others.

My first impression was on tv. He and his father have a show on TLC called \"Big Medicine\". I first saw him there. It just so happend when I called my insurance company he was on the approved surgeon's list. His staff has been nice so far. I would like them to be more pro-active than re-active. I try not to call them but on the flip side I don't feel they call me enough to keep me in the loop. They should have someone who calls you every two weeks to keep you in the loop. It would save them and me the hassle of worrying and bothering them. They won't have anything to tell you every two weeks but it would keep me from calling and would calm the patient's nerves. Per Dr. Davis' recommendation I went through Methodist Hospital's Weight Mangement program. The program throughly prepares you for surgery, your diet after surgery, your vitamins/minerals after surgery, and your mental health issues after surgery. I would highly recommend the program. I think his bedside manner and surgrical competence are both great.

My surgeon made me feel like I was a real person not just some obese thing that walked into his office for help. His staff and assistants are wonderful. He had a show on with his father called "Big Medicine", there are reruns on TLC now. He is in practice with his father who I heard is also great. I do not regret at all having gone with him for my surgery. I will be attending the support groups where they have a professional speaker come and talk with you...I'm loving it!!!

I absolutely love Dr. Davis. He is so kind and caring to his patients. I found it very easy to trust him. I am so fortunate to have found him.rnrnHe has such a great personality and a wonderful sense of humor. I would (and have) recommended him to anyone who needs a wls surgeon. I also have to mention that he is the best fill doctor! He's in and out of there before I know I was even stuck.
