So far so good! 9 days post op, the Bariatric Center of the Rockies has done an amazing job preping and guiding me through the hurdles to getting the surgery done. Although quick and to the point, Dr. Dickingson has been very thorough.

I had my surgery 3/27/2007 and I have to say that Dr Dickinson has been the most remarkable and supportive doctor he takes the time to listen to any questions or concerns! He helped me transform my life!

Dr Dickinson has been a wonderful surgeon to work with. His staff has been fabulous from the first phone call to the first follow up. He has a wonderful bedside manor and takes the time to talk to me as a person not just as a patient. I have briefly met several other of the surgeons and they have all been just as wonderful. I have been very happy with the care I have recieved from
Dr. Dickinson and the staff at Northern Colorado Surgical Associates.

My first impression of him was that he was confident and cared about what I was going through and was about to go through. Irnfelt as if he listened to everything I had to say and took the time to answer my questions.rnrnEvery one of his office staff were both professional and friendly.rnrnThere were no areas in which my doctor was deficient in any way.rnrnFuture patients will be made to feel as much at ease as one could possibly feel right before a surgury.rnrnI was provided with a very detailed loose leaf binder which answered almost every question, addressed different scenerios, outlined significant warning signs, etc. Along with briefings by his staff and a hospital nutritionist, I felt informed and supplied with the proper information. I have had no problems since I left the hospital. I have found that following the instructions supplied by his office have made my recovery very easyrnrnHis aftercare program also included a calendar of office visits to insure I am doing well after surgery.rnrnHe addressed all the risks of surgery.rnrnI would rate him and his office staff as top notch in this profession. I would without any hesitation recommend him to any friend or family member who found themselves in a situation similar to mine.rnrnHis surgical competence and his bedside manner were great. I had some complications right after the surgery, not caused by my surgeon. He addressed these complications swiftly and almost methodically. Even though I knew something wasn't going as planned, he made me feel as if he was in control and things would be resolved soon... and they were! I have had three other major surgeries in my lifetime. I have always had competent surgeons. Dr Dickinson is the latest to add to my list of good experiences.

Totally professional, straight shooting, and the most dedicated Doctor I have ever had the please of meeting. I was a revision and probably one of the tough cases. Dr. Dickinson stood by my bed through 8 weeks of ICU & Surgery recovery. Then supported me through 2 months and rehab. He has also done my wife's RNY surgery. The entire surgical staff at No. Colorado Surgical pitched in a hand to bring me through my ordeal. Let me close by saying there is one other person who has been terrific to deal and this is Becky who is the support nurse. Listen to this lady and she'll help you get through those daily issues.rnrnTom

My first meeting with the Dr. and his staff - Great support setup - I very much appreciated all the time they took to answer all of my questions and Dr. Dickinson took the time to go over each of my questions with myself and my husband - The Staff were all very friendly.

I found Dr. Dickinson to be very personable. His office staff is very well trained. They are empathetic and very pleasant. Dr. Dickinson has a strict plan which must be followed. A complete notebook full of information for both before and after surgery is provided to each patient. When you go for your pre-op consultation you are given a test on the material in the book. (I scored 100%). All of the risks of surgery were explained to me in detail, especially the risks associated with my coronary artery disease. Overall I'd give him a top rating. rnrnAfter surgery I had several complications, including a major infection, and was hospitalized a second time. Dr. Dickinson was wonderful. He returned my phone calls, saw me in the office the day I called, and showed immense concern. I also had to have a second surgery two months following the by-pass (unrelated) and again, Dr. Dickinson was superb - explaining everything and taking very good care of me.rnrnThe staff at Poudre Valley Hospital couldn't have been any nicer. They were all so caring, up-to-date on everything, pleasant - I can't say enough good about them all.rnrnAlthough I was very sick due to the complications, I have to say that this was my most positive hospital experience ever - and I have had a lot of them!!
