I saw Dr. Dickinson at the last support meeting. He seems friendly and capable. He also has a sense of humor, which is a definite plus in my book!

I was impressed with Dr. Dickinson and his staff. Everyone was so kind, and I wasn't treated with that usual sidelong glance that medical professionals like to use when dealing with "the unwashed." In his office, I was treated not only like an individual but an individual with a brain. They took a lot of time with me and were careful to make sure I was getting a support system in place. Based on the first meeting, I'd recommend him highly.

Dr. Dickinson was very pleasant. He encouraged questions and was straightfoward in his evaluation and explained the surgery in detail, though it was not necessary as I have been researching lap RNY for months. I think he will be an excellent surgeon to use for my procedure.

The staff at Northern Colorado Surgical Associates is truly excellent. Everyone had cheerful dispositions and Becke was most competent as she led the first half of the consultation.

I went to a support group meeting that Becke moderates at our local hospital and met many others who are considering/having/or have had WLS. Another physician from the practice was on hand to answer questions and Nancy, a registered dietitian, gave an interesting lecture.

There will be comprehensive aftercare with close monitoring of vitamin and protein levels and weight loss.

I rate this surgeon and staff as excellent. Once I've had surgery, I will add to this review if my opinion changes.

I met Dr. Dickenson in October, 2002. The first thing I did was tell him he needed a better chair for patients to sit in. I barely fit in the one that was provided. He said they actually were going to put a bench there. Good.

Dr. D. said that he had done "5 or 6" of the bypasses laproscopically. One leaked. That freaked me out but I should be thankful he was so honest. I am.

Just waiting now for December 3, 2002 to get here.

everthing, took his time, did not rush me
through.

haven't met with him yet. I have a consultation with him on August 21st 2002. Will post more after that date.

Update 8-21-02 Met with the Dr. today and found him very nice and informative. He was very forthcoming with any questions or concerns I had. I think he'll do a great job and have full confidence in him.

At first I was a little confused because I didnt see his name in the list of bariatric surgeons. However, one of his partners is listed. But once I went to see him, I was very reassured. He's a very nice man, explained things carefully, and listened to my concerns. He was eager to get the surgery scheduled, which I appreciated very much. My surgery was scheduled one month from my initial consultation. I had absolutely no complications. I feel that I was in very capable hands and would recommend him to anyone (in fact I have been telling all of my friends that are considering WLS).
I would also like to say that each time I go for a follow up, I like him even more. In fact the whole office staff is wonderful.

He was very helpful and listened. I went on the internet and copyed many sites information to bring with me. He was impressed. I was of him also. I just wish there was somebody on the staff that has the surgery.

Very tall. He put out his hand to shake mine. I do not see that much anymore. Very friendly. I brought tons of paperwork I copyed from the internet on the surgery. He was inpressed he told me. We talked then had a physical. He said ok on the surgery. I was so happy. The office staff was great. I wish thought somebody had the surgery and really would understand. They have monthly meeting at the hospital. But I do not have transportation to go there.

I felt that Dr Dickenson was a very friendly and professional doctor. For the most part the office staff was nice. The only thing I did not really like was that after surgery I say him only once and then he was gone for the weekend and I was left asking questions to a medical student. Don't get me wrong the medical student was very good. If I had questions he didn't knoe the answer to he went and founf the answer.
