I am meeting with him in a few weeks.

i have my first consult on Oct 17 To see about tings. I hope they take tri care!!!!

Dr Rifenberry and his staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. I felt as though I was in very competant hands. He has given me a list of things I need to do before I come back to see him. I have met with the nutritionist and go for my psych eval on Feb. 8. He was very straight forward about everything and explained everything so I was clear. He made me feel reassured that this will become a reality for me, that someday I will be able to buy a dress out of a store window. My PCP referred me to Dr. Rifenberry because he feels he is an excellent surgeon and that gives me great confidence. I am so looking forward to getting on with the paperwork, which by now has become the most frustrating part!

Sorry I haven't updated for awhile. It's April 20th and my surgery is the 23rd. My confidence in Dr. Rifenberry has only increased over time. His nurse, Misty, is awsome also. She really makes me feel cared about. I am excited and a little scared, but I can't wait.

I have had one consultation with Dr. Rifenbery. He has recently been certified to perform laproscopic RNY. I am confident in his abilities and am excited to have the surgery. His staff has been very helpful and don't seem to mind me calling to see how my paperwork is progressing. I expect approval within the next few weeks, but will have to wait until he has at least one other case approved before I can be scheduled. This is because another certified doctor must proctor him in surgery and they want to have 2 cases to make it worth his time. This will be frustrating if I get approval soon and then have to wait. There are currently 5 other people who are waiting for insurance approval. So . . . if you are one of those 5 - I hope our waiting is over soon & BUG YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY!!!
