Jamie Cyriac Bariatric Surgeon

Excellent surgeon, It's been a year (August 2011) since my surgery and have had no issues or concerns with my results. Dr. Cyriac was very professional and reassuring during the whole process. Have only met him once, but he is at the top of his field and in very high demand. If you get any surgeon for Gastric Bypass, this is the one to get! Thank you Dr. Cyriac, for giving me my life back :)

Due to his Hospital that he works for he was a nightmare. When he first did my surgery he was a very nice man but after when i had an emergancy things changed. It took 4 days for my local hospital to get hold of him. Then he blamed me for smooking(Which I never have done) and then only to find out that well he was in there had to take apart my liver and intestine (his fault from first surgury) Then he sent me home on a feeding tube that fell out when went back to get it put in his team desided not to put it back in. They told me that they could see nothing wrong with me and took the iv out and hospital addministrator (asked me to leave) I was throwing up. Because of the time of day I had to sit and wait for someone to come pick me up they would not even let me stay in the room untill someone could come get me. By the time I did get a ride it was from my parents and they ended takeing me to anther hospital..... His first time surgury was wounderful and so was he just don't go back if you have problems

I started out as his patient.... I had my surgery done by him in March 2011 and this were going great untill April hit... I was rushed in to my local emerg and it took 4 days to get a hold of doctor Cyirac and then when I got to go back to toronto East everything was blamed on me (I have not nore will I ever smook or use advil products) Which was explained to me why the ulcer occured. Dr Cyriac went in and repared my ulcer and also found my liver and intestin were stuck together. Kept me for three weeks sent me home with a nurse and feeding tub. Only the feeding tube fell out so i went back to toronto East and explained what happen. I was amitted again and a few days after with out finding out why I was still throwing up and sore not even keeping water down Dr Cyriac and his staff asked me to leave because there was nothing they could find wrong. This was durring the day and I had to wait down in the lobby untill a ride could come get me, by the way I was taken by my parents to another hospital where if they had ran a simple UTI test would have found that the UTI had hit my liver and kidneys. I have not step one foot in toronto East sence and was very dissipointed with the way I was treated. As a surgent he started off great and was very nice even when he was asking me to leave.....

Dr. Cyriac did my surgery early February. He is amazing. I thought the surgery was going to be 3.5 hrs. and he did it in under 2. No complications and no pain. Recovery is coming along just fine. He knows his stuff. Thank-you for changing my life.

WOW he is a very nice man! Not bad on the eye too and he dresses like any woman would want their husband to dress... lol
Dr. Cyriac was alway asking if you had any questions, he didnt puncture through your belly button like a lot of other surgeons and he has amazing bedside manners! I am so glad he was my surgeon!
I had a GI bleed post op and her reasured me with confidence that everything was going to be ok! And he was right!
The aftercare program could use some work, there is not much suport while you are on your floor recovering, but we were lucky we did research before hand to prepare us and we had some good nurses too!

Only met him once, but he was lovely. Very nice and informative. My surgery date is September 22nd.

When I met him today, he was very calming. I was quite nervous but quickly felt at ease :D sooo, we will see how it goes .....

Dr. Cyriac has been wonderful. He always took time to address my concerns and answer my questions. He visited every day while I was in the hospital. I phoned him a couple of days after I returned home because I had some concerns and he called me right back within the hour. I feel great and I know it's because my surgeon took care of me.
