Honestly, my first impression of Dr. Taller; very attractive. He carried himself in a respectful professional manner. He was caring and asked why I chose VSG. I explained all the entails of the reason I chose and he agreed. He addressed all the formalities of pre and post op procedures and told me to focus on not gaining any weight before surgery, but to lose as much more as I could. My surgery was February 18, 2011 and to date I have lost about 90lbs. I am pleased with my decision and the surgeon that was chosen for me. Life couldn't be better and God has given Dr. Taller a gift to give people second chances at living a better and healthier life.
PS: Being release to come home Dr. Taller was in surgery (emergency) and Dr. Tanaka gave me the okay to go home...Dr. Tanaka was very nice also and comical. My experience with him was good, although there has been said he can be tough.
To rate my experience overall with the Dr. Taller and the staff, I will give it a 90%.
My surgery went great!! Dr Taller was excellant and gave me so much confindence in the procedure and its success!
I had my vsg with Dr. Taller in Oct. 2010...115 lbs later I am so very glad that he was my Dr. My husband had the same surgery in Feb. and he is having success as well. There are no issues that you cannot comfortably address with him. He is so patient and eager to be your partner in your success. But he does make it understood that this surgery is just a tool for you to use to help yourself...not a magic charm. looking forward to a visit with him in June. I really can't think of anything negative to say except for the fact that it seemed to take forever to be released from the hospital when I was ready to go, go go!!!
Really liked Dr. Tanos he was nice and answered all my questions. His office staff is a little..... sometime hard to deal with.
My first impression was very positive.
It got better- he was amazing.
His office is a disaster and they are rude.

He has a great bed side manner and he does things his own way. He does things slightly different from the other surgeons in the office. they are all great.
He is all about sticking to the make sense rules.

I liked that he is competent and nice.
Met my knight in shining armor yesterday, August 31, 2010. Very nice man, very positive and excited to discuss with me procedures and protocol. Answered all my questions, didn't rush me. Seems like a caring doctor, who truly loves what he does. I look forward to having him as my surgeon!

He seem to be very professional. He got right to the points of trying to find out why I picked sleeve over rny. He gave me the pros and cons and move to get me the bad on both surgery. Suggested I loss 8 pounds. He address the risk and answered my questions about drains and staples. I have to watch the CD he gave and I will be ready. Should know my date in a couple weeks. Everything with great today. Staff was nice and very busy today. Change doctors, I now have Dr. Taller. Never met him, but he works with the previous Dr. I had Dr. Rumsey.

My first impression of Dr. Taller was that he is a caring and well educated in his field. He answered all of my questions and even sat right next to me to answer my questions at one point. He made me feel at ease and I have total confidence in his surgical skill.
The office staff is really nice and the office is really set up to accommodate people that are larger which is nice. The chairs were nice, large, and sturdy. The staff was even nice when I kept calling them and bugging them about my surgery date.
Dr. Taller is all for support groups and following the plan that is provided for you. He believes that following those things you can have success. He addresses the the risks of surgery head on and does not sugarcoat things that could happen. I would rate Dr. Taller as a 10. I just think that Dr. Taller is the best.
