I had RY surgery April 24, 2012 by Dr. Friedman. From the time I went to the "Meet the Doctor" appointment to today, I have had no reason to believe I wasn't making the right decision with the right physician. He came across quite confident in his abilities, almost arrogant, however, that is why I knew he was good at his job. His staff, Jennifer especially, is so supportive and knowlegable and comforting. She is also his patient. He also has a top-notch nutritionist, Ashton, to answer questions and guide you through this life changing event. I prayed for direction when I first started my journey. It lead me to this doctor at this time. My experience was so positive, I brought my daughter to this doctor. This was a great experience in that the hospital staff after surgery were exceptional. They were very caring and compationate. Dr. Friedman came and answered my questions and concerns. He was very present after surgery which gave me great comfort to know he was not just the surgeon, he cared about me the patient. If I could recommend a doctor to you, it would be Dr. Jeffrey Friedman. He and his staff are the best. I am almost a year out from and still visit my doctor and call with any questions. Dr. Friedman lets you know this is lifelong journey, not just a one-day surgery. I hope my experience would be comforting and informative for anyone considering RY surgery.

12 Days out from my RNY Bypass. Dr Friedman & his staff have been amazing. They are very straight-forward and have a long term approach towards your success. You can tell right off whether you will like his approach if you attend the free "Meet the Surgeon" seminars they do every month so you don't have to waste an office visit to get some general information from them. His nurse, Jennifer is a WLS patient herself who will actually call you back, normally the same day, to answer any questions you might have. I had to drive about an hour each way for each appointment and the surgery, SO WORTH it! My surgery went off with no complications. I was up and around the same day walking. All my incisions are perfectly healing. I feel great and am so glad I made the decision to see Dr. Friedman.

I am two years out now. I made my goal within 12 months and I have maintained the weight loss. Dr. Friedman is absolutely the best. I just had my two year checkup with him. He saved my life. If you are thinking about the procedure I strongly encourage you to have Dr. Friedman do it. I had to travel over 100 miles one way - but it was so worth it to have the best preform such an important procedure -one that really gave me my life back.

My experience with Dr. Friedman and his staff has been nothing short of amazing. The 3+ month wait for my initial consult was well worth the wait. At my initial appointment, Dr. Friedman explained all of my options for WLS thoroughly and what I could expect. Once I made the decision to have RNY, the staff guided me through each step of the approval process. I would recommend Dr. Friedman to anyone looking to have WLS, without hesitation!

Dr. Friedman is a straight shooter. He tells it like he sees it. Every process is explained. I feel safe under his care. His staff is wonderful. I'm glad I have Dr Friedman as my expert on my journey toward health.

If I could put Dr. Friedman and his staff on a pedestal I would . I started out with Dr. Lords office his staff deceived me and told me things that were not what other staff members had said. So I was very discouraged and went to see my regular Surgeon Dr. Comitalo he told me to come and see Dr. Friedman and even took the time to speak to him personally ( Thanks Dr. Comitalo) this has been a wonderful life changing experience Dr.Friedman and his staff really deserve 10 stars not 5 the hospital stay and all the nurses and all the hospital staff were great. I have never been so happy with the way I fill . It has been a very long time that I have felt this wonderful these truly are the best in Pensacola thank you Dr. Friedman and his staff your really GREAT!

Dr. Friedman and his staff are great, and this surgery has changed my life, I wish i had done it sooner.

I am so very thankful to have received a referal to see Dr. Friedman. Since my journey began back in October 2011, every visit has been a wonderful experience. His staff is OUTSTANDING!! Ms. Betty has kept me informed from the start. I have my surgery date scheduled on January 30, 2012 and look forward to the new me. Again I want to thank Dr. Friedman and his staff!!
