Doctor's Rosen & Mikhail were my surgeons. Could I have had any better Dr's? Absolutely not! They have a team that is second to none. The girls in the front office, my Exercise Physiologist, my Nurtrionist, my nurse.....Everyone. So kind, helpful, patient and sincere is how I would describe them all. I was very lucky my Cardiologist recommended LIFEWEIGH BARIATRICS to me. I look forward to 2015 and further building my relationships with the whole staff.

I think that dr rosen is a good doctor. However his office staff namely receptionist is very rude. she speaks loudly when she answers the phone and every one in the office can hear her conversation. she had the audacity to tell me I could just do diet and exercise( I called for information about my insurance approval). I told the nurtritionist about this because I was pissed off . she just looked at me like I was the inappropriate one. I wish I could give a better review. However my experience with Dr. rosen was good. This is strictly my personal experience which seems rare given other post.

Dr. Rosen and Dr. Mikhail are the best, I couldn't have picked more caring doctors. I went to see them to get a lap band. The 3 to 4 hour orientation was packed with information about my choices. I met with Dr. Mikhail, the exercise physiologist, nutritionist and a number of other staff. Within a few days of my first visit I changed to have the RNY done, based on the information that I now had. Every visit thereafter was filled with information and I felt very confident that I was making the right choice.
My surgery was 6 weeks ago, and both doctors were present during the surgery, and I couldn't be happier with them or my surgery. I was totally prepared and excited about moving forward (due to their process and caring office). I always felt like I was their number one patient and this wasn't just a surgery but a lifetime committment, and they will be with me every step of the way going forward. I could not ask for better doctors.

Dr. Rosen and Dr. Mikhail are AWESOME!!! My first impressions of both were good. Office Staff very caring. After care is part of the whole package that's why I felt like I was in capable hands. Over all I would give them 10's ++++. Great Bedside manner I saw Dr. Rosen before the surgery and Dr. Mikhail after and I have NO complaints. Dr. Mikhail made me feel like he was my brother by being able to joke and that helped put me at ease. I'd recommend My father to them if I could get him to go!

Dr. Rosen is very nice and made me feel extremely comfortable. He was very thorough
with explaining what the procedure would entail. I really like all of his staff that
I have met so far. I can tell from the
process that he has in place that he and his staff really want any patient to be well informed and stick to the goals established before and after surgery.

I had the surgery 6 years ago and I would highly recommend Dr. Rosen. I believe the name of the facility that I went to in Downer's Grove Il. has changed. They tested me for everything I could think of before the surgery so that I would come through safely. They specialized in the gastric bypass surgery. The hospital I went to (the wing I was in) only had gastric bypass patients. This doctor was very professional and knowledgeable. If I had to do it over again that is where I would go.I feel like this was the best choice because this is what they did. My girlfriend had the surgery shortly after I did (by finding a regular surgeon on the internet) and they did not perform half the pre-surgery tests that I had. She passed away 2 weeks after the surgery! There is so much I could say but do not have enough room. There are other doctors in the facility so I cannot comment on them but I was glad I had the one I did

Dr Jeff Rosen and the group at LifeWeigh are fabulous! They emphasize changing your life and make sure you are ready for the surgery! (I had Laproscopic RNY gastric bypass) They are all very responsive to any questions and are great with follow up.
I first met Dr Rosen when he presented a seminar on WLS. What impressed me was his concern with the individual's well being and his willingness to work with people on weight loss even if they didn't want to do surgery. We spent a lot of time talking about my alternatives. Life style change is paramount.
He has a great sense of humor so his bedside manner is excellent. As far as surgical competence...I feel great and my recovery was very rapid. He is overly cautious. I'd recommend him and his group to anyone considering WLS!

My first impression of Dr. Rosen was that he had cinnamon fresh breath. No really he was very nice and down to Earth. He explained things in a very clear manner, but not to the point where I felt like an idiot. His staff is very close as they work together in 2 offices. They are all incredibly friendly and when they talk to you, they sit down with you and make you feel like you are the only one that matters. It is all about you. Dr. Rosen, as well as his staff emphasize how important aftercare is. They also stress the importance of the pre-op care. They want to make sure that you prepare your body for what is to come. I am very pleased by his surgical competence, I have very small incisions that after only 3 weeks post-op I can see will hardly be visible. He takes the precaution of placing a G-tube or feeding tube, just in case the ability to eat or drink becomes compromised. The G-tube comes out after a month post-op. The risks were all discussed in detail, and while they may have frightened me I could see that the benefits of this surgery completely outweigh the negatives. I am completely satisfied with Dr. Rosen overall and look forward to my continued work with him in the many follow-ups to come. If there would be one thing that I could ask him to improve upon, it would be to be able to see him more in the hospital. I was in the hospital for 4 days and saw him 3 times. I didn't even see him for my discharge. I saw a top trauma surgeon who was very nice and friendly. Of course, I think Dr. Rosen was not feeling well that day. I won't hold that against him. HE IS GREAT!!!
