Dr Kasper is a very nice man and has been very open and honest in telling me when I've been wrong during this journey. He has been very clear on everything that is involved in this venture, both bad and good stuff. I'm glad to have him as my surgeon.
The staff has been exceptional in making sure I know when all my appointments are and always call to make sure I remember them and to see how I am doing.
Dr. John Kasper was my surgeon for Lap Band, Friday, June 20, 2008. My first impression of him was he was a very sincere, compassionate man. He didn't frown upon me being overweight he seemed to genuinely be proud that I was there to make a change. Dr. Kasper shared his insight on the surgery and thoroughly explained the risks. rnrnHis office staff have been awesome and his assistant Jen was very kind and helpful with any questions that may have arised during this process. My surgery was performed at Mercy Hospital and everyone was kind and supportive. rnrnI without hestitiation highly recommend him to anyone.
Dr. Kasper and his office are absolutely wonderful. They worked closely with my Insurance Company and I was approved in 10 days! I was in surgery 2 weeks later. His pre-op Q & A sessions were informative and covered all bases. He is affiliated with the Weight Loss Management Program I am in and their aftercare program is very complete with follow-up and support groups which I attended pre-op as well. I have had a wonderful experience thus far - I will see him on Thurs. for my 2 week follow-up. Absolutely 10++++++ in the surgical competence and bedside manner category!
After 2 unsuccessful tries for lap band with another surgeon decided to switch to Dr. Kasper. Had first appt. in Sept. 07 and 2nd one on Oct. 15. Got approved in 2 days. He is very understanding and genuinely seems to care about his patients. I am very glad I switched surgeons.
Very nice guy...easy to talk to and very reassuring!! Very long wait in the waiting room for both appointments so far.
Dr Kasper is a very nice and caring doctor. He is young which was a suprise to me but I believe he came into the practice under his father who specialized in WLS as well. I felt comfortable with Dr Kasper immediately. rnrnThe only problem I had in seeing Dr Kasper is the wait, I have always waited at least 40 minutes in the waiting room past my appointment time, which is very frustrating. However, I would not switch to another doctor because I am so comfortable with him so I guess that is something I am willing to deal with.rnrnOverall I would highly recommend Dr Kasper as I don't think there would be another doctor who can make a WLS patient more comfortable. He has great surgical skills as well as a wonderful bedside manner which is all that mattered to me.
'Dr. Kasper is a soft-spoken man in his mid-40's. He has a jovial face and puts you at ease immediately. He took the time to fully explain the 2 surgeries I was considering and giving me the differences as well. rnrnHe was attentive to me in the hospital and thankfully
What to say about my surgeon! What a very caring Dr. Its very hard to find someone that is caring in the job that they do. I was very lucky to find him. Very comfortable with my choice in Dr's to take me though my journy!

Very Kind, patient and informative. My impression is still the same. His office staff is great. Jen does all the scheduling and the paperwork. She is the sweetest and most helpful person I ever met. There was really nothing I did'nt like about Dr. Kasper. He sat through the millons of questions without a blink of an eye. Future patients should know that he will make you feel very comfortable. ALso you will not need to wait very long in the waiting room!! For after care he was very informative he has you go through his weight managment program and come to see him after surgery. Dr. Kasper thoughly explained all risks of surgery, many times. Both bedside manner and competence are great with him!! I would give Dr. Kasper 5*****Stars!!
