Dr Ray is the best that I could have picked. He is very caring and has great bedside manners. He is serious but can cut up also. I would recommend him to whom ever wants to have WLS. He has moved to Fort Sanders in Knoxville, TN. I am very pleased with my surgery it was 5/20/13. I think he was very nice and it helps to know that he also had the surgery so he understands what we are going threw.

I was verry happy with Dr. Ray. He was great. Most of the girls in the office have had the surgery so I felt more at ease its hard enough to be over weight and take the step to have surgery. Talking with someone who has never been through it makes you feel worse and sometimes mad. I was thankful I found Dr Rays office. I would recommend him any time!!

Yesterday was the 3 year anniversary of my RNY surgery. Dr. Ray is an amazing surgeon and person. I can't imagine having anyone else perform this surgery for me. I feel blessed. I had some complications during surgery. Dr. Ray is a very capable and experienced surgeon and was able to handle the complications without a problem. I trusted him with my life and would trust him with the lives of any of my loved ones as well. Thank you Dr. Ray!

Dr. Ray is my hero!!! I recommend him to anyone who asks. He does not mind taking his time with you and greets me with a smile and high five on my progress. I have had no problems with his staff (except a few with ins), but overall the whole group is 5 star!!!!!!!!!!

Dr. Ray is awesome...Very professional, covered all the bases thoroughly. Very involved with post-op follow through. Since I was self-pay, I could not afford any complications...and we have had none! Everything he told me has come to be true. Coolest thing - he prayed with me several times before and after surgery. Awesome doc!!

Well so far I have only seen him one time. I liked him very much. The thing that empressed me very much besides his obvious abilitys was that when we talked I found out that he was a child of God and wasn't afraid to show it. That put my mind at ease so much. I can now put my trust in completely because I believe he will listen to what God tells him to do. Like anyone else I'm sure he has his faults same as anyone can but I didn't notice them.

I have so far only seen Dr. Ray one time. I have my pre-op visit tomorrow. So I will post more later. The office always seems very busy. I did have trouble getting my surgery scheduled once it was approved. rnrnNow, that I am post-op I can say I am happy with the job Dr. Ray did and does. I do wish there was a formal aftercare program because sometimes I feel alone out there. rnrnPrior to surgery Dr. Ray sat down and answered all my questions - and I was brutal. He told me his complications and expectations for me. He perscribed special ointment and soap to use beginning a week before surgery to prevent infection. I was able to be done outpatient and now 3 months out I have not had a single complication.
