Whatch out IT IS A WARNING!!!! I had surgery with him in 2010.I started gaining weight again and I wasn't doing anything wrong! I went to his office TWICE asking some explanation and HIS ARROGANCE and CAPITALISM made feel so frustrated! My OWN doctor, who did my surgery, who I paid $18k from my pocket REFUSED to request an exam to check me out saying on my face it was my fault and sold me his "weight loss program" which cost $4,000. Another Doctor found I had a fistula and I am re-doing surgery

I decided to attend Sosa's seminar because of the positive reviews I read online, however, once I had a one-on-one appointment with him days after the seminar, I was extremely disappointed.

Sosa practically laughed at my decision to want a LapBand. I am 23 with a BMI of 37 and he spent the whole appointment trying his best to convince me to get GASTRIC BYPASS! I asked him to respect my wishes and he yelled at me and asked me to leave (thank God I got my $100 refunded). I told Dr. Sosa that at the end of the seminar he said I would be a candidate for LapBand, so why is he now saying that "he won't do my surgery"? I told him I felt as if my time was wasted.. he said "you shouldn't feel like your time is wasted when the head of bariatric surgery in Florida is speaking to you"; super disrespectful.

This all happened today and I will make sure to take this to some higher ups; no one deserves to be yelled at, especially when they are at a point in their life where they are seeking help.

Good morning to all, I am very new to this sight. Does anyone know after you have all your clearences how long does medicaid take to approve the surgery. I am having the sleeve done.

Dr. Sosa is an amazing, knowledgeable,attentive, and compassionate Doctor. I had RNY August 15th, 2012 and I have lost 94 pounds in the last 5 months. Dr. Sosa has always responded immediately to my phone calls and I never have issues scheduling appointments. I have never waited more than 10 to 15 minutes in the waiting room. Dr. Sosa s the best!!

Dr. Sosa is the best Bariatric surgeon in Florida. I had my surgery on March 6, 2012 and I have now lost 71 lbs in 3.5 months. My life has changed drastically for the best. I have more energy than I have ever had. I no longer have High Blood Pressure and Sleep Apnea. I no longer snore.. Yay!!! Dr. Sosa gave me a new lease on life and the opportunity to live longer for my son.

He is fabulous I was scared at first to have the surgery done for many reasons, Especial the part of haveing to stay away from food...Im very big on cooking especial whenn the holidays come around but to be honest with you it has not bothered at all I can make giant dinners and not be fazed by any of it. At any rate Dr. Sosa was my one way ticket to healthy living and a fresh start in life its been 22 months since my surgery and I went from 285 to 130 and I look and feel fabulous...Now I walk around telling everyone about the impact the surgery has had in my life Thank you Dr. Sosa. i had my surgery in january this year one month in i have lost about 40lbs, but even better alot of meds.that i was on before surgery i dont have to take my sugar levels are great .6 less meds. and i feel great thank you dr sosa for your great gift of helping people and may god bless you in your work thank you r clarke

I had RNY Gastric Bypass on 9/8/10 with Dr. Sosa. Best thing I ever did for myself.
Wouldn't trust surgery to anyone but Sosa. He is VERY confident in what he does and trust me that's what you want when your going under. If you ever have a complication, you can always reach him.
He is the best.
